Is there any guidance anywhere for what is or isn’t allowed in a story on scribblehub?
A lot of web fiction sites have this, but I don’t know about scribblehub.

We got a rules thread.

Also, in practice, everything is permissible here, given there are limited staff watching this place. If you find something that you think runs afoul with the law, take a screenshot of the offending part then report to Tony, the admin.

Mmm, usually we allow anything which isn't illegal, and isn't just straight up porn.

Define illegal? Cause a lot of places have different definitions of what is illegal.
Technically most fanfiction is illegal.

W-What?

I'd guess that means the stories need some semblance of plot. My one shots are fairly sex heavy, but each contains a short story plot (out of 3k words, i'd say it an average of about 2k plot and 1k smut, and no one's complained yet, so...)

@Vector, I'd say under canadian law. also, fanfic is illegal if you sell it as original content. You can post it free (under parody law), and with a LOT of provisions, you can include it in anthologies that you sell. but i'm not THAT versed in copyright law. (also... Obligatory "I'm not a lawyer, this is not legal advice, I cannot represent you in court")

Mine has something that resembles a plot, I suppose.
But otherwise, it's just perpetual horniness.
And also, no one complained about it either, so...

The problem is several stories have graphic descriptions of the exploitation of minors along with other content of similar nature.A lot of places take a dim view of that.

Illegal as in,
Don't promote sexual harrasment, stealing, drugs, anything else like that.
No pedophilia
No bestiality

I don't think there is anything else particularly jarring.

The rules we follow are pretty much copy paste of what Facebook does

Mmm, that's what makes this place the Smuthub ahhh...
Technically such things aren't allowed but we don't have mods

Like take a look at our list of mods, most have been inactive for an year!
