The hardest you’ve cringed rewriting an old work?

That will be a hard question.

Where should I start, my non-existent grammar, or horrible spelling mistakes?

I won't even talk about sentence structure.

But there was one single thing worse than all. One cringe thing that will rule all the cringe things.

I was trying to write a hardcore serious character by making him swear or go into rage a lot.

Not only that, slangs and words like "Yeet" were commonly used in the story.

I mean, I was trying to write a story about, what if a person who already mastered survival, combat, and the art of war.

But with the twist of being alien to the concept of fantasy.

Thankfully, I managed to settle on (actually I am still rewriting the whole thing.) a much less edgy character, and dialogue that fits the character.

I wonder after six months or so I will look back into my writing and say "What drugs did I use?" Because it will be the third time I will be saying that.
