But I also here people on Twitter, Instagram and YouTube give misinformation about Japan having alot of child predators due to their culture and anime and liking cute anime girls.
Yep. If you actually live in Japan, you'll know that sexual assualt is taken very seriously there (too seriously though. Innocent people can be framed very easily). If watching ecchi anime makes me a child predator then you watching John Wick makes you a serial killer.

It's funny how they don't talk about how Japan takes these cases seriously

Most people don't even look at data before making claims, much less try to thoroughly unravel what said data might mean and use it to question any assumptions that it might have.

I dunno about Youtube, but my unresearched understanding is that Twitter is basically made -- intentionally or unintentionally -- to make people post short, unexamined hot-takes (due to tweet character limit) and argue about them (because twitter basically functions off of "engagement is innately good", and arguing is a form of engagement). I've certainly never heard anything good about the Youtube comment section, but I haven't really heard specific logic there.

Internet discourse is usually a waste of time; people can usually only be convinced if they on some level want to be or are socially pressured by those whose opinions they care about, not by random people on the internet.

...but if you're going to do internet discourse with random people, I'd advise you to at least go somewhere besides Twitter and Youtube to do it.

You're a good teacher. I hope you become a professor one-day. If you ever feel bad try church. A good one not fakes. Church helped me with my depression
I love to be with teenagers more than university students, at least, I can guide those peeps into what to expect in the cruel world we live in.

As for the church, well, I'm attending one. I don't think I can find a 'good' church, so I try be the good member instead. And my work as a teacher is my 'anti-depressant' since I feel useful (contributing to nation-building) whenever the students ask advice from me.

Still thanks for the compliment!

What you say is true. I don't like to participate in the discourse. I just watch the discourse. Participating is too much work.

I only watch those who speak with facts and proof than baseless claims and personal opinion.

people detached from reality bashing about nonexistence issues because they are trapped in onlime echochambers... nothing new

Also that suspense when you expect to see your country's name in that list... though it's not necessarily accurate.

Teenagers are quite a handful, if you're there just for the money or work. However, if one would try to understand their sentiments, they have some unspoken needs that should be filled. That's where I try to come in, as their 'bro' teacher.

Indeed it can't be fully accurate. But those are the reported cases. I guess

:blobtaco: hehe that's s cool.

Some of my teachers were my enemies. The math especially I remember how he always complained I suck at maths 😭

i can't trust some teachers too. They'll say they'll keep your secret and they'll spread it among their teacher friends.

That's the worst, really. Very unprofessional.

Whenever a student confides to me, I keep the details that should be kept to myself, and tell the important (life-threatening ones) to the authorities who should know.

As for the students' crushes, I keep my mouth shut. Trust is difficult to gain, so I'm not going to lose it just because they're children.

Well, in any case, as a teacher, I'm aware of the difficulties the students face because of so many lessons they have to learn in a relatively short amount of time with significant lack of equipment. As such, I always emphasize to them to do their best in their studies, and learn to get some good rest as well.

When someone did kindness to you, always pass it around, is what I mean.

What..? 🤨... Idk about you but Japan has a huge problem with hyper sexualizing children.. people call it out.. it is what it is.. nothing new. Heck there this one animator that made a song called loli god requiem.. talking shit about people who like lolis..

When a culture has this much fked up content normalised it's bound to cause issue. Stats only show the bloated manipulated stats what the country wants you to see anyway...

why do people complain about a certain country about them liking children because they like anime girls when some countries are worse?

Because the loli culture is a gateway to more perverse shit. Not all loli lovers are pedos, but I'm 100% sure all pedos are loli cons.

None of the other countries's entertainment media or other media cater to pedophiles like jp does. The way they make content that's just borderline going child porn making you think "wait, that is not right is it?"

Maybe a bit hazy, the age of consent in jp is 13, it's a very conservative patriarchal society. Sharing that you've been molested or gRaped probably is heavily looked down upon, even your own will suppress you and tell you to bare it.

I'll go out on a limb and say the number of cases is grossly under reported.

Even ignoring that, moderating loli and drawing clear cut line on what is sexual and what is not is very very blur, media houses always strech the line how much ever possible.... It's better off gone, imo.

Tl:dr

Loli attracts pedos, jp anime media houses likes their money, jp is very conservative, loli culture bad.

About this entire issue.

There are some fringe cases but that not a reason to place a general tag.
When a culture has this much fked up content normalised it's bound to cause issue
a culture has this much*

Too narrow.

Not defending Loli culture but that age of consent 13 bullshit is just the THEORETICAL MINIMUM. No provinces actually set it that low. (Didn't go to law school when I lived there tho so don't quote me on that) (also the theoretical AoC was recently raised to 16 (took them long enough))

There's no defending it in hentai but as normal anime, you have to look at the target audience (which is mostly middle school -high school boys). I can assure you any upright salarymen won't watch it. At least not with their family around.

But in Japanese Loli means a short petit woman not a child.

There are even some countries in Africa where the age of consent is 11 💀💀 to 18 years old.

And if we're talking about perverse stuff. That kids are exposed too America had the highest. I've seen numerous videos of parents standing against the school system because they are allowing porn books in their schools.

Let's not ignore how some american prisons are allowing sexual convicts into female prisons because they trans. And how pride parades have children being naked people express their kinks.

Because people rarely wish to acknowledge their own problems, and when they do, they simply don't know how to fix them.

The Loli culture is even confusing, because I there's this trending Loli song and everyone just loves it.

But once again, all I know is that Loki in Japanese is a short petit woman. Not all petit women have big boobs.
Ah yes also regarding this. Hasn't anyone thought that people can just watch a loli vtuber because of their personalities on not their model. Their model is just cute. Not everyone's sees lolis Ina sexual light. And everything is sexualized in our mordern morld. I don't know anything that isn't sexualized l.

It's related to my previous post. Somehow.

Mod pls if I brake the rules feel free to remove my post.

But I also here people on Twitter, Instagram and YouTube give misinformation about Japan having alot of child predators due to their culture and anime and liking cute anime girls.

Yet when I did research Japan isn't even in the top 20 countries who have the highest SA cases and pedophilia cases.

USA was third

South Africa first.

This data doesn't seem to talk about pedophilia cases. It's just hard to find articles that were updated this year

There's more statistics online. I just won't post themz because I don't want to break any rules.

So my main point is that why do people complain about a certain country about them liking children because they like anime girls when some countries are worse?

Why spread misinformation despite knowing the country is suffering from a low birthrate?
Look Japan has its problems with rape like every other country does. It's nothing new, people just want to break the Cool Japan image. But I don't agree with over sensationalizing the problem like thinking they don't do any measures and thinking that lolicon stuff exacerbates the problem, it doesn't. Japan actually does shit, there's a reason why when you take a picture in Japan it often flashes.

Honestly, the best solution to your problem is don't partake in any internet discourse. Don't go to twitter and maybe actually finish writing/reading a novel.

But I need to know

Because I'm tired of hearing the YouTubers relating normal anime to pedophilia and calling Japan's current culture rude names
So to start; your data set is wrong in the first place. You're originally looking for CP stats but you looked at Rape stats. While they are connected and CP can be listed unto Rape, they're completely different so you fucked yourself in the beginning with that. If you're going to do research, do it properly. You're looking for a niche statistic but never went beyond surface level. Look harder.

Second, you're asking a writing forum about a global statistic. No. We don't have your answer. Some people, like Hans, and myself, and others, have come across it but you're in the wrong place. If you want to know why Youtubers do it, then go ask the Youtubers. While you aren't breaking rules (I think), you're in the wrong place and the discussion topic is very estranged for a writing forum. We're not a math/statistic forum. We're not a political or sociographic forum. Understand that the individuals you are asking are likely not well educated in the topic at hand or may have reservations about engaging in such a topic.

Take your curiosity to the places that'll give you answers. Not here. This is not the place.
