That said last I checked, failing to find a romantic or sexual partner does not mean all my friends and family will abruptly Banish Me To The Wastes. If you can't find or don't want a partner in that way, it's really not the end of the world, and there's still other relationships you can fill your life with, or purposes and pursuits one can dedicate their life to.

Personally, I find characters that have an unhealthy fixation on others to be a turn-off. It tends to become annoying pretty quick.
