Yesterday, I got the first review for my story! And right after - another one!

I wrote a short story (2k words) during an evening writing session! It was hard, but I think with a bit of practice I can manage to do it again! I haven't written during the evenings since 2020. Back then, I'd stay up to 1 or 2 am to write. Ah, those were the times.

Today I can do a writeathon because we have soup from yesterday, it is too cold to bake cheese bread (The rooms have a normal temperature, but not enough for the dough to rise), and I honestly don't feel like making pancakes today. Also, it is my rest day, so I will be doing only light stretches between chapters.

You know what? I really liked the last short story, so I will leave it at that for today. Today I did two days worth of work. Well, almost two days. Like, one day and 3/4ths. Now I will take a break, read, maybe watch a video, and then at four I will start editing. Everything has to be done before 9 p.m., but I think I can manage.

Made good crêpes and cycled 11 km. Also, decided not to push myself. Two short stories are enough.

Am now on an 11 chapter backlog for my Patrons and am 3-4 chapters from the end of Book 1 of the duology.

I finished my writing for the day, and writing connected short stories is real fun! I get random titles from the fantasy name generator, and then pick a character, and that is all there is to it! But what is more important, the stories are being read!

I finished a novella which was so close to book length, but, ah, the ending just came to me. Well, onto the next one.

My readers on AO3 are giving me hearts!

I know I already had a win, but this one is great too! I got one subscriber for my latest story (which is on AO3) just now! And a heart too!

I edited my two chapters even though I didn't feel like it!

I finished a long chapter! Nearly 3,500 words long. Now, you might say: That is a wall of text!
But the AO3 readers don't think that way, so I can go back to writing more than one scene per chapter, just to get the point of the chapter across.
Just because something works, doesn't mean you have to keep doing it. (Yes, I stole that from Apashe.)
