I'm not. But the government of my country doesn't abide by the law, so I don't know. No one knows who is going to be drafted. It's a gamble.

That man could rest for a day or for eternity but then worst case scenario we might have to deal with someone worse. Better the devil you know.

Maybe I'm a bit dumb in this matter but how long does a person need to serve in the situation where they are drafted?

There is a war going on, so I don't know.

@Nhatduongg men of military age usually serve a year as a conscript, but this isn't an usual situation so we don't know how long it will be.

@Nhatduongg mostly till the war ends and a year or two after.

The year or two is to act as a fillgap while the govt tries to restock its resources like human and weapon.
