Depending on the reader it can be quite cringey. Like, maybe you made something they didn't like (with reason) and they expressed it politely... But most of the time they just whine and make a rant out of it. At least I, as a reader, if I stop liking something I just stop reading.

I am a bit like Luxican, I prefer shonen ai than yaoi. Almost the same way I prefer shojo ai than yuri. I simply prefer the romantic part itself than the smut that tends to follow. Especially because on the case of yaoi, it can really get a bit rapey in most cases.
