"....No candy for you then." Alba dumped all the candy inside the pot back into his bag. He gazed around the area and nothing changed since he enter the loop.

"So. What should I fill this Holy grail pot with? And if you also here... that's mean you also stuck here?"
"I'm your insurance."

The black figure crossed it's stumpy arms.

"It's not as if you can't leave, you know. Wars aren't always won by charging forward. And besides, it's a flowerpot. What do you suppose goes in there, genius?"

If it had visible eyeballs, it would definitely be rolling them.

"Well, sorry. I can't create a flower out of nothing. And only war I know won by dropping a bomb on cities." He replied scornfully and tossed candy into his mouth.

'Sweet.'

He wrote a ᛚ(water) rune above the pot. The water generated from empty air and filled up the pot.

Snorting, the figure pointed behind them.

"There's a greenhouse on premises."

Elizabeth turned to face Eudes, smiling. His facial expression is so easy to read. It's as if he suspected Elizabeth of being one of those people. He is wrong, of course. Elizabeth is not a reincarnator. She is a serial reincarnator. There is a difference.

"You're searching for me? Thanks for being the first person in the school to notice I'm gone. I appreciate it. We need to find a solution to prevent you from getting lost too often, though. It's inconvenient for you to got lost on the path of life."

A solution that doesn't involve Elizabeth splitting open Eudes' skull to realign his topographically agnostic brain, hopefully. Elizabeth doesn't have any time for surgeries.
Raising his eyebrows, Eudes didn't understand what she meant. Since they were together in the library ground floor, wouldn't it be common sense to tell her goodbye before leaving? Although, the situation didn't allow it. As for getting lost. She was not wrong.
"I may always get lost, but I never get lost twice at the same location!"

However, what did she mean by the path of life? Bah, that's something he would not like to understand. Abstract concepts are always cumbersome, if possible, he would like to not touch anything related to these.
"We've forgotten."
"It's been long and longer still."
"Since you're helping, we'll let you decide."

The apparition turned to leave.

"It's a good night."
"A fine night."
"A night of trickery and lies."
"Let us meet again."
"Yes, agreed."

Then, before it vanished---

"The piano music is terrible tonight."
All of that is nice, but where are they buried? The track field? The greenhouse? If they needed to dig up the whole track field to find their remains, that would be troublesome. Nonetheless... piano music? Now that they mentioned it, Eudes was able to hear it.

"They're not wrong, the piano music is terrible."
Rubbing his chin, Eudes thought that since this is the last thing they said. It might mean that the priority is to find the piano and stop the pianist... who ought to be another wonder?
"Mmmm. Should we split? Since you promised to find their remains, I guess I should check the piano?"

A Crimson bath of Clashing steel, flowing sweat, and broken swords. Both figures moved as if they could not stand one another. Both of the figures were somewhat ragged by the time others come on the scene. Both figures cloaked in a form of darkness, obvious to any onlookers that they were using the dark element. The moon hanging over head gives the whole scene a solemn atmosphere, like that of a graveyard. All else is still near the two. The wind dies, the creatures stay silent, there is only the soft sound of dripping blood.

Her school uniform is torn and tattered with plenty of shallow cuts across her arms legs and body in general, tufts of hair drift down from all too close calls from her head. Her breathing heavy as she continues to clash with the red eyed monster.

“How pointless it is. You are bleeding, why don’t you just die?”

A chill fills the air as those words are spoken, the voice otherworldly as the distortion in the darkness mains and twists the sounds.

“I could ask the same of you.”

From the distance it is impossible to tell who is talking between the two. Both voices are twisted beyond understanding who is speaking, only the meaning of the words come across to any nearby viewers.

Yurei’s vision swims as sweat trickles down past her eyes, her glasses slipping slowly down her nose. Her hot breath streams into the night. A momentary lapse in the fighting. A temporary truce. Both figures push their glasses up at the same time and glare at one another. The ghost’s figure is a sorry sight as well. The shadow is missing bits and pieces as small flecks of darkness bleed off.

“You’ll die you know.

You should join me

It is so LONELY

Why? WHY? ᚹᚺᚤ?”

Both figures dash at one another again. You know what they say. You feel most alive the closer you are to death. The fight intensifies though neither figure is willing to give ground. The sickening red eyes and smokey orange eyes have eyes for no one else.

Both figures are running low on stamina though they seem to be waiting for an opening of sorts.

The two blood soaked bodies filled Verities vision. At first she didn't know what to think, but after looking closer she could see a uniform on one, and the other appeared to already be breaking apart. Despite this the amount of blood was more then sufficient to know that whoever the student was they weren't doing well.

Um... um what can I do? What should I do? Verity didn't know. The scary looking plant was actually a nice guy before, could the student perhaps be in the wrong?

Verity truly didn't know. And she couldn't tell who was speaking with the words so distorted. Verity wanted some indication of who was in the right... an answer to who she could help... who she should help. She couldn't even cry out as a way of distracting both because of her missing voice.

Verity gripped the borrowed shovel tightly. She didn't know who should win, but she would not be that arbiter. She would provide a chance.

Waiting for a slight moment of calm, where the figures were clearing seperated, Verity hurled the shovel straight between the two. She didn't know what would happen or who would win, but it was a distraction, and a chance, for whichever could act on it best.

"There's a greenhouse on premises."

Alba poured out the water from the pot and immediately the water level began to drop.

*blinks* "I see. I see." Alba thought with satisfied face.

"Well, Smokey. I have to say that I have a date later tonight. As much as I love to spend time with you. I'm afraid that I have to go now. See ya!" Alba posed with his right hand shot into the air and snapped his finger. Suddenly, a rune characters 'ᛋᛗᛟᚴᛖ' (Smoke) appeared between his feet and smoke clouded the area.

Seconds later, the black figure could see an idiot running towards the greenhouse. 'Hmmmmm. I'm a bit out of character tonight. Is this what they called youth?' Alba hoped that he could forget this eventful night afterwards.

"Mmmm. Should we split? Since you promised to find their remains, I guess I should check the piano?"

"Good idea. I doubt you will need it, but please take this medicine with you. Just in case you need healing. Apply it to the wounded area."

Elizabeth handed Eudes a bottle of clear liquid. Since it looked like water, no one would suspect it as bottled saliva with healing power. Elizabeth tried bottling her blood once, but the container melted before they can be of use. Had she succeeded, she would have invented this world's equivalent of molotov cocktail.

"Beat them up for me. I can't sleep when someone is looping that thing non-stop. The pianist is worse than Wolfgang Amadeus Tentacles with his clarinet."

Elizabeth spotted a slab of stone being used as a door stopper and picked it up. Planning to use it as a headstone. The stone already have the name Swir written on it with runic alphabet, but since the girls(?) let Elizabeth decide on the content of the headstone, there is no harm in keeping the name "Swir".

'You're just lazy to think for a name.'

'Let's keep it that way. The last time Claudia tried naming something, it sounded ridiculous. Fluffy the Dracolich, really?'

Elizabeth has a plan. But first, she need to look for perfect burial spot around the school. The closest one are usually the best.

"Oh, thanks. That will be useful."
Eudes took the bottle and put it in his satchel. After a few seconds, he wondered if he could find any weapon he could use-- aside from his fists or his gourd. But then, he will have to throw it away. Finding another gourd will be troublesome. Anything else? A sword? A lance? A mace? Bah! Whatever, let's just punch the pianist-- or attempt to use magic. If he can, so far, he only succeeds in casting a spell a few times.

"Alright, anyway, see ya soon. And, well, good luck I guess."
And so, Eudes decided to head towards the music. That was easier than crossing a maze! He can't get lost! All he had to do was to follow the music, at some point, he will definitively reach the piano!

Lisette frowned, staring up at the blood red moon that filled the dark sky. It wasn’t as if she hadn’t seen a red moon before, since Harvest Moon’s were common even in her previous life. But for it to remain that deep hue of red, even as it rose higher and higher in the sky—it just meant something was wrong. Or making it as such.

She and Alba had parted ways, after he escorted her out from the clocktower and out from her library. Deep down she knew she should scurry back to the dorms and pray she wouldn’t get into anymore trouble, but that seemed something she could hardly avoid. A sigh escaped her lips, as she looked down at her arms and felt the sting of a cut on her cheek. I can only imagine how dreadful I look. I can’t blame anyone for worrying if they see me as I am now.

She looked up at the clocktower, and a heavy sigh escaped her lips. I don’t even want to think about tomorrow—or how things will be—I’m just going to go back to the dorm. Maybe cry in my pillow or something.

Walking the path, she found herself near the Greenhouse. She thought about the Spinacherb‘s she would need to craft another tonic for class, and figured: “I think it’d be okay—I already know where they are. And besides—I won’t take a lot. Just enough to prepare the tonic I used.” With a game plan in mind, she walked over to the entrance of the greenhouse.

Claudia was thinking.

Magic can't solve everything, even science shared the same weakness. Mariel's plan to bury Swir's remains was sound, however she missed one crucial detail.

Graves don't dig themselves.

Amidst the chaos, Elizabeth woke up from her slumber. Her reaction towards her incarnations' argument is to laugh. You don't need to dig a new grave when there is already one in perfect condition available to use.

Somewhere in the school, there is a chapel dedicated to the worship of the goddess. Behind the school's chapel, students can book sessions to lie in a grave and think about life.

Once Elizabeth reached the place, she let Mariel took control.

A few minutes later, the scattered remains of a murdered girl is gathered in under one place. Ready for burial.

No one was surprised. Mariel's knowledge of mostly useless spell included a spell to clean the battlefield of corpses. Granting eternal rest to people who die when they are killed.

"Rest in peace, Swir."

After the remains are buried, Elizabeth choose to lay down on the open, unbooked grave next to Swir's grave to meditate.

Elizabeth is Anya, Anya is Elizabeth. The other? Not so much. Mariel's sadness and Claudia's madness is a bad influence.

"Resistance is futile, be assimilated."

The moon is still red, but Elizabeth's alter egos are too exhausted to do anything now. She still can't sleep, though. At least she can be a normal girl again. If only for a short while.

Normal girl don't hear the voice of the deceased, after all.

"Another vanderer on ziz unending night. Peh!"

Unsurprisingly, the entrance was still wholly covered in thorny vines, and the huge plant grumbled in her general direction.

"Vat have you come to dizturb me for?"

"Finally."

The girl --- Swir, as she was currently called, stepped out of the grave --- in spirit form. The dirt of the grave remained undisturbed.

"You are quite the strange person."

Shrugging, she allowed herself a smile, already starting to fade away.

"But thank you nonetheless. Now I can finally be at peace...ah, allow me to give you one more piece of counsel...laugh not with the foreign saint."

When all was said and done, a tarnished brooch carved in the likeness of a bird rested on the gravestone, winking under the moonlight.

When all was said and done, a tarnished brooch carved in the likeness of a bird rested on the gravestone, winking under the moonlight.

She only took a moment to register the shovel that flew between the two of them. Bits of darkness crack along the path of the shovel writhing and twisting. A flash of light as two swords collide with one another. One of the dark figures slumps and evaporates into nothingness the red wisps slowly fading while the other figure slumps in exhaustion the darkness falling away from their body.

Yurei gasps for air, really close. So close. The dark area around the lake seems to fall away piece by piece as if glass shattering once again. Yurei is left slumped in about a foot of water while her hand rummages around for that novice heath potion she had. It definitely will not heal everything, but it will stabilize her enough.

Her hand reaches behind her and into a small potion bag before untwisting and then drinking the contents of a Novice health potion. Most of the smaller wounds close immediately and the rest at bare minimum scab over the course of the next minute.

Yurei grimaces in pain and if anyone does come over, she does mention to them.

“Whatevel you do, don’t use any healing magic”

It would be exceptionally bad for her who had just been exposed to so much dark mana for wounds to take any healing magic. Let alone that she only seemed to suffer from it due to only having dark element in her body.

She looks to where the shadow evaporated her chest heaving with effort as she gulps down the cold night’s air. A faint glimmer of metal is seen in the water. She uses a slight bit of dark magic to drag the item to her hand. It is an old and simple looking hairpin eastern in nature and obviously crafted with care it has a single amber flower as a decoration.

Her trembling hand carefully grasps the hairpin as she looks up at the Crimson moon. It is impossible to tell whether it is the sweat from her battle or tears running down her cheeks. The cold water soaks her lower body as the night breeze agitates the tears and rips in her clothing

She doesn’t even have time to really look around to see who even threw the shovel. Flowers drift down onto the lake as she closes her eyes, hiding them from the Crimson Moon. Memories really are such painful things after all. Her chest rises and falls at a lowering pace as she just rests.

Acquired Old Amber Hairpin x1

"Vat have you come to dizturb me for?"

That was definitely not something she recalled during the daytime, nor did she remember a talking... plant?

Magic was certainly a strange thing.

“uh—hi! I’m Lisette, I don’t mean to disturb—I guess?” She gestured to a couple of her cuts, “I guess I wanted to gather a few herbs before bed—to help soothe wounds? Who are you?”

She could hear the soft reminder of not being alone picking too much near the greenhouse. Wasn’t this also part of those Seven Wonders? And that ghost in the library—was also a wonder from what she remembered.

wait, is the moon related To the Seven Wonders?

Lisette blinked staring up at the plant.

Better late than never, Eudes arrived at the music hall where the piano was. Of course, he got in the wrong room many times before entering. Now, the question was-- what should he do? There was indeed a piano, one that was playing without pianist. Or perhaps, he was unable to see it.

"Uh, that's awkward..."
One of the solutions was to break everything. No piano, no music! Common sense, ain't it?
"That sounds like boss music, somehow."
Before breaking the piano and paying the price for it, that may be preferable to find another way. The thug decided to sit in front of the piano and to break the melody, if there is one, by tapping a few random notes.

He's a moron all right...Well, the two of them are quite cute together, so that's fine. Still, did he seriously try to blind me with rune magic?

Speechless, the black figure traced out a rune of her own.

Alba reaches the entrance of greenhouse, opening the door slowly. The area near entrance was covered with bushes and vines that make the place very eerie.

Vat have you come to dizturb me for?

Alba sported Lisette standing not faraway from him and she seems to be talking to a plant(?). He sneaked up to Lisette without a sound.

“I caught you~!” Alba said happily as he cuddled her from behind. ‘By the goddess. Why am I acting like this? Is it from the potion my drank?’

“Nice to meet you, Mr plant. Little Smokey told me to come here for a flower here.” He showed the empty pot to the talking plant.

"I'm the keeper of thiz plaze...Vhat in blazez is Little Zmokey? I know nobody vith zat name. But vine, you tvo may pazz."

Casually waving a tendril, a gap roughly large enough for a human to enter from formed in the vineworks. The plant opened it's fanged maw wide --- oh, it was just yawning.

"For you, girl, you vill find ze herbz you need in ze back. Be careful of ze toxinz. And az for you, boy, that belongz to ze fellow in ze corridorz, yez? Go ahead and pick ze right plant, zen."

But nothing happened.

The annoying and terrible music continued to play ---

After all, Eudes had found himself in the wrong room; the music was still playing somewhere in the distance.

Lisette would have jumped had she not recognized the voice behind her, hugging her. Her face flushed a deep hue of red as she froze, mostly due to Alba’s uncharacteristic behavior. “Al-Alba? I thought you were going back to the dorms?” She looked up at the moon. Oh no, what if the moon changes how people act—what if Alba is acting weirdly due to the moon? Okay, whatever is happening needs to stop. This is too weird!!

“uh—I—uh—umm—o-okay” She stuttered robotically as the plant interrupted her train of thought. It never introduced itself, but it allowed them access. She needed to avoid the toxins, and he was getting a plant for the hallway? Was it something involving the moon too? Or was it about the Seven Wonders, and what was Swir’s involvement in all this. She feared what she’d find would lead back to Swir.

The greenhouse was open now, and Lisette could only numbly nod. She might have been a bit overwhelmed by the physical contact.

“Alba, you’re — uh— are you alright? You don’t feel sick or anything?” She reached up to feel his forehead. “And what plant are you looking for exactly? What hallway?”

"Okie dokie, and yep. It's from za fellow in de corridors. Could you tell me how does the flower look like? Smokey didn't tell me anything." Alba swayed side to side with exciting eyes on his face. 'He didn't even accept my candy.' He noticed that Lisette was still in his armed when she asked him questions. He released her and put his hand into his pocket to find something.

"Oh. I feel... feel very lively! And I don't know what I'm looking for." Alba put out a strip bandage and applied it on her redden face where the wound located. Then, he returned back to hugging Lisette but now with his arms around her neck. Normally, he would also be blushing crazily like her but now he decided to roll with it since the moment he decided to give the black figure candies.

"...Normiez zhould all go and explode..."

The plant seemed to be grumbling something under it's breath, but after thinking of something, turned back to the two with a huge smile on it's face. Or at least what it figured passed for a smile.

"That's an easy one. Pick a flower, any flower."

It gestured all around the greenhouse with it's tendrils.
