Are people interested in someone making a story based on their idea?

Hey, it's Mercy or Mercyque here looking for feedback. I'm curious would you personally be interested in having a story made for you?

My goal is to get some stories started and supported. So I'd be glad if you may answer this question of mine.

I'd like to see what stories are very popular and what people would like to see more of.

Thanks for reading!

(Currently hoping to start my big story next year and wondered what others think about the idea of getting stories made for them.)

There are ought to be some. I have loved worldbulding since childhood, but had no talent in story telling until I said 'f it'. But I think most of the folks you are looking for are in D&D forums, not here.

That's what I thought, but I can hope! As I'm not interested in joining the DnD community with my lack of awareness of it's inner dialogue.

Thanks for being honest though.

yup, i'm referring to ones in the car.

i think i've heard several stories about someone marrying their body pillow :D one of them is from a korean show called alien whatever, the person is called a shiptaku and my friend gets pissed off by how the host makes fun of otaku.

Another idea that has been in my mind for some time is the shared universe idea. Like couple authors coming together and agreeing on a world setting, having their characters interact once in a while with each other. An example:

One author writes the classic hero's journey in a LITRPG world, while another writes a town/kingdom/guild building novel. At some point, the MC of first story could visit the town/kingdom/guild of the other authors. OR, perhaps there could be 2 hero's journeys written by different authors in their own POV's. They could be rivals/enemies, competing with each other to outlevel the other. This would allow each author to wriite on their own pace after establishing the general bulletpoints and the character growth paths.

That'd be pretty cool to see on scribblehub. Would definitely read for the nuanced interaction between multiple writers.

it makes me think about writing a mob character who just enjoys watching a paint dry.

I like that idea!

So far myself will take this as a yes to my initial question. Not as comprehensive an answer, but a definite one that is to be sure.

Ooh, just found out how to use the dark theme on the forums. Looks nice.

Nice for you, I am still stuck with the light theme and my eyes hurt.

As for story design, how about the cliche af, loved by suckers of RRL, violence and porn.

I was going for a dude that suddenly got doom guy's upgrade like double jump, dash and weapon wheel and got thrust into isekai. And then I bummed out because I start the character as myself, a lazy POS who is not even motivated to do anything except when forced to.

Ps. Found the default dark. To hell it is dark!

Anyways, other than starting stories of my own, I'd like to support ones that fall under the community guidelines of the site so they can be on Scribblehub.

I offer to help get art done/funded and story writing done/funded over the upcoming months for a few individual requests. If people want.

Well I gtg for tonight, as It's a family birthday tomorrow. Have a good time reading online!

Perhaps the multiplayer, I mean multi author's can start in one place with same objective and the go out after that to reunite later with mission complete?
Wouldn't be easy, especially if on same world, but sounds like fun.

Sounds like you want a couple of authors doing like a Marvel/DC universe collection of stories which would be interesting but, it depends on whether you mean some authors come together to create a set of new characters and universe together or they do something like Warriors Orochi games where characters from already established are thrown into an entirely unique world together. Because if it's the latter I can see people have some issues with that.

I have a universal story and could probably add parts of authors defending attacks with their planets or galaxys with their own character's but...it seems more like an unreal dream

So, I've seen peoples' comments in other threads and hear this idea of yall's. Given feedback it could go well if started casually rather than as artificial imposition of ideas. Like as mentioned above that it was a clean slate to start from.
