Agree. Those high earning stories that crank out lots of content usually don't look back when they write a chapter. Me, I go back and edit a few times. But I'm now stopping myself from doing that, rereading and editing only when I'm finished.

If you're saying editing makes you... lazy and stuff, I agree 100000000%

It can take a couple days just to do something I can do in like 20-30 minutes.

I wish everything was right the first time around cause I hate editing. I want to write! I don't want to look how much of a dumbass I was an hour ago when I mispelled the twice in a row.

I edit after I finish each chapter to catch any mistakes I may have made but I only just started going back to my original work to edit it. My reasoning for doing so wasn't out of laziness but because I was having bad writer's block and didn't want to fall out of practice while I wait for a sudden rise of inspiration. If done properly, editing can be just as productive as writing. Just in the past two weeks, I've added over 150 pages to my original work. Though I can see why many people would think that it is lazy.

Editing your story to make it a better experience for newer readers isn't always that much "procrastination" as it is "I hope my existing readers won't kill me."

there are indeed many situations where editing a story may be counter-productive but there are just as many such situations where it won't be. all in all, everything just depends on what type of person you are and if your readers will accept it...

One thing that's clear without needing any debate is that, creating a thread titled 'editing a form of procrastination nya' and asking viewers to debate you is, in fact, the realest form of procrastination. I salute you :blob_salute:
