Alex, or in this case, Alexander was perplexed. Sure, most elves are fairly androgynous, but he himself was more on the manlier side of the spectrum, as he was one of the few rare ones with the ability to grow a beard. Of course, is it nowhere as grand as a dwarven one, Alexander himself was proud of it. That, and the egregious amount of scars adorned his arms marked him as one of the more recognizable faces within the Guild.
Yet, sitting opposite him, was one of the most unblemished elven specimens. She was tall, just like him, muscular, just like him, and devoured the giant slab of Drake Steak in less than a few bites, just like him. She was beautiful, the kind wild one, the kind that could make a princess blush while stained in blood and gore of her ill-fated enemy. Alexandra was her name, just a few letters away from his. She is too much like him as if she is another version of himself.
"Fuckin' sorcerer..." Alexander sighed, "Alex...andra...Are you sure you are me?"
"You, but female, yup." Gosh, the way she speaks is the same. "I suspect, this is the work of that old fart. I knew that stealing his amulet was a bad idea..." Thinking bad now, it was clear that pissing off the most powerful mage of the continent was not a good idea.
"I...the pay was good, though."
"Yea, hard to turn that down."
They both chuckled, as their mind was one and the same. "Welps, can't be helped. What's happened, happened, right, buddy?"
"Right." Alexander nodded, and reached out his arm, "Say, how about we party up, sister? There is a job for a party of two, good pay, and amazing accommodation. I am sure you are just as good with the blades, and bows, as I am, no?"
"That escorting job for the Count?" Alexandra smirked, "Count me in!"
The was a silence as the joke settled in, and a second later, they both burst out, laughing. "That was fucking lame, Sis!"
"I'm your sister now?" Alexandra arched her brown, amused, "Older sister?"
"Fuck no. I am the original, so I have seniority." He waved his hand and dismissed her claim. "Anyway, the Count will be leaving in two weeks. Let's get you gear up, and all."
"Aw, you pay for all of that? What a good brother you are!"
"I'm lending."
