Almost every story has some sort of "system assistance". But what if one fine morning, the MC wakes up to find that the system disappeared. Checking status shows nothing. Saying Hi, gets you no reply.

How does the poor MC spend the rest of his life!

the fact that he went from normal to abnormal means that's the story right there. That's the conflict. So now he's on a quest to go find his AI buddy. the AI will display happy feelings for him when he gets rescued.

I'm pretty sure Humpty Dumpty (and most other stories) didn't have system assistance or all the king's men and all the king's horses wouldn't have been so perplexed.
