I don't know, that just seems to be an average plot element of a long running romance story to me. Maybe I'm weird, but for example, I've read a story in which there was a character that constantly bugged the couple, in the end because she wanted them to split. To me, it was just a plot element, not the main plot, not even the main obstacle, just one of many pebbles at the side.Yep, but usually they have relationship and the other character try to break MC relationship.
Theres is a tag, but there is something worse. Not putting that tag in and getting surprised whilst author denies vehemently that is NTR. Unlucky for me who encountered that twice. One few years ago and now this year.
If I'm strict, I might have that element in one of my current stories later on as well, where someone who once killed one of the characters (uh, well, there's undead people in that story, not zombies, but brought back to life) comes back and wants to meddle in their life, for example split them from all the people around them, including their new partner and everyone else, to make them suffer and come back to them (they were a stalker to begin with, hence how they came to murder them). I still wouldn't feel the need to accredit this to a Tag like that. That's not an unimportant part, because it serves to reveal something else, but the fact that she's trying to break them up is just a whim of her obsessiveness.
