So… I’ve been finding that smut writing kind of sucks… or maybe I’ve outgrown it.

Anyway, it since it’s going to be banned soon I guess I’ll have to work on my other scene writing skills that don’t involve smut.

When it comes to smut it's basically between three things.
1) Is the build-up or story before the smut entertaining? If not, then I really don't care about it.
2) Do I give a rat's ass about the characters? If not, then once again, I really don't care about it.
2) Is the smut written well enough? If not, see 1 and 2.

In Dune, the line "until penis was firmly clasped in vagina" was used to describe sex. The audiobook version is hilarious because it's said by this nice old man who sounds like a friend describing an uncomfortable business handshake. I don't write smut partially for this reason.
