The BL fanfics are not official content and the yuri couples were a thing before Mihoyo got their big break with Genshin Impact. At the time, they were still a relatively small company. There are also other examples in media like 她们的故事 (Tamen de Gushi [Their Story]), 今天的她也是如此可爱 (I'm not writing this out in pinyin [Today She Also Looks Cute]) among others and that's not even mentioning novels.

Also, I don't follow wrestling or sports at all, but I don't think muscular women translates to unattractive women. In fact, I've seen a lot more people on the internet actually like muscular women. There's even a muscle girl bar in Japan if you haven't heard of that one already and all the women there look attractive, muscles or not.

Localization of the Trails series has been fine aside from minor typos that I've seen. Localization of Final Fantasy has been fine. Fan translation patches also exist.

Trails fans are giga autists and might actually mail a pipe bomb to NISA if they go too far and try injecting identity politics or just fucking up the translations. It also helps that a majority of the localization team of the trails series are actual fans of the series and not failed writers projecting their pretentious garbage writing on the translations.

I don't interact with the Kiseki community at large, but I'd like to see some yuri content in the series if it's ever possible. Either way, I enjoy the series despite its cliches and tropes, plus the character designs are top notch most of the time. Really like Shizuna!

Not sure if you heard of the Hong Kong protests which occurred just before and during the pandemic, but this was actually one of the catalysts among other things. And they are not the only ones. There's, as little story as there even is in a straight line, a lesbian couple in a chinese idle game called Shining Nikki as well. Paper Games (the studio behind the game) also has a huge HQ in China, and nobody stops them.

Shining Nikki is out for the west too! It chugs hard on my emulator for some reason, so I can't play it :( I think the game has awesome character designs though which is fitting for a dress-up game.

Of course I heard, why even question it? We have TV and Internet here, after all. Perhaps the version and interpretation of events that I heard was quite different from yours, but it is not a fact that yours is closer to the truth. There is Yuri content in the game, but they're more of the fetish sort than genuine romance.

Angelica's problem as a character is over exaggerated by the community imo (esp Twitter/X), but I do agree with them somewhat. It hurts me that she never got expanded upon besides that one scene near the end of CS3. She mostly just flirts with any girl she encounters in a way it will be seen as a crime if it was done by a man.

Though, one could say she's just playing into her character trope which almost every character in Trails do (not a bad thing). Still wish she has more development though.
