Character Creation Help
IMG_20230912_225023.jpg

(This post is under construction do not use it. This is for the full-release D&D thread that would begin after the D&D Zero session, here.)

X.P. and Character level ups were removed by UPDATE 0.0.3.
Class Graduating introduced.

NOTE
After submitting the character sheet here.
Players need to put a copy of the character sheet in their Signature and enable viewing Signatures on SH. It will help another player to recognise and communicate. And build lore around your character.

Steps to create D&D character.

0. What is your time zone?
(Like +0 GMT: London)

Helps in organising D&D events.
Also help in determining team selection.

1. Type your character name::
[___________]

2. Pick your character race::
Your choice of race affects many different aspects of your character. It establishes fundamental qualities that exist throughout your character's adventuring career. When making this decision, keep in mind the kind of character you want to play.
Click here to see the list of registered races/sub-race:-
Name/other name for same race.
Options are :-
👉Link for each race and species and their sub race.(SHF homebrew version)

3. Adjust your ability scores::

Adjust ability scores for six abilities of your character. Namely, Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, Charisma.
(Str., Dex., Con., Int., Wis., Char.)

There are many methods of adjusting ability scores for your character. But they all are rng heavy so...

Freestyle METHOD(69 method)
You have a pool of 69 points.
(Distribute them over (S,D,C,I,W,Ch))
restrictions 1 :- no ability should have score below 2
restrictions 2 :- total sum of S+D+C+I+W+Ch. should be = 69.
[You can submit you base ability stats to GM with race and affinity of your choice via DM, and GM will adjust details for you.😇]
Wiki -->
Strength (Str.)

Measures skills of Natural athleticism, bodily power.

Important for

Barbarian, fighter, paladin

Racial Increases (add after adjustment)

Dexterity (Dex.)

Measures skills of Physical agility, reflexes, balance, poise.

Important for

Monk, ranger, rogue

Racial Increases (add after adjustment)

Constitution (Con.)

Measures Health(see health formula), and skills of stamina, vital force.

Important for

Everyone

Racial Increases (add after adjustment)

Intelligence (Int.)

Measures skills of Mental acuity, information recall, analytical skill.

Important for

Wizard

Racial Increases (add after adjustment)

Wisdom (Wis.)

Measures skills of Awareness, intuition, insight.

Important for

Cleric, druid

Racial Increases (add after adjustment)

Charisma (Char.)

Measures skills of Confidence, eloquence, leadership

Important for

Bard, sorcerer, warlock

Racial Increases (add after adjustment)

4.Character Class

REMOVED FORM CHARACTER CREATION IN UPDATE 0.0.3.
You cannot pre decide your class, instead you have to enroll in academies/cults/faction to get/change classes in your due course of gameplay.

Your character initial class is Class-less.
---Rolls with lowest ability stat from left in combat.

5. Pick your character's Affinity

Affinity will determine how different types of NPC react to your character and how your character interacts with the D&D world. Your choice of affinity could restrict or allow you excess to some Unique Adventures areas.

Affinity = (Adjective affinity)+(Affinity)

Pick one from each.
1. Lawful
2. True
3. Chaotic
+
1. Good,
2. Neutral
3. Bad

Example:: True Neutral, Chaotic Good etc.

7. Describe your character.
Description gives backstory to your character and bring life to your character.

6. Information about Skills.
Each skill is primarily bound up with one ability. These are as follows:

Strength = Athletics.

Dexterity = Acrobatics, Sleight of Hand, Stealth.

Intelligence = Arcana, History, Investigation, Nature, Religion.

Wisdom = Animal Handling, Insight, Medicine, Perception, Survival.

Charisma = Deception, Intimidation, Performance, Persuasion.

HOW YOU ROLL WITH SKILL.?

So when you are asked for Perception check for Difficulty Count(DC) = 13,

you roll d20 (suppose you got 10.)

Now refer to your ability score and class, (buffs).

The ability related to perception is wisdom (check your wisdom ability score. Suppose you have 11. Add modifier value related to 11 to your dice roll.

(short method to calculate modifier = ((ability score - 10)/2 )round off to ceiling value.) Here 13-10=+3, 3/2=1.5(~1) lower value.

so your total result would be d20 + modifier

That would be 10 + 1= 11.

(DC was 11: 11<13 so you failed. If your class do not have saving proficiency.

But wait..

Check your class.... Luckily you were a wizard(suppose). Wizard have saving profiency in INT. & WIS. You are 1class guaduate (so your profiency bonus is +2)

Add it your throw result.

That would be 11+2 = 13.
As DC(perception) was 13.

It would be a successful skill check.

8. You are almost done.
(Final submission)
Roll a 6*d6 to recieve initial gp.

Currently accepting submission via dm or posting with ping on 🏤adventure guild desk🏤 thread

❓Still confused? Dm @Raymann.

Structure created by @Raymann

Abandoned Stronghold of Sacot Region

(Dungeon)
IMG_20230913_222215.jpg

The dungeon is an abandoned stronghold from a long-forgotten war. There are rumours of valuable treasures inside from when the fortress was used.
A recent landslide has uncovered the dungeon entrance.

(It is advised to be fully geared and in team to clear dungeons.)
(In group dungeon clearing, the decision will be made by team leader and will affect all players.)

Pick dungeon difficulty.
🚪ENTRANCE LVL1🚪
The room is rather dark and water is dripping from the walls. Two Constrictor snakes🐍🐍 begin to attack.

Single Constrictor Snake Stats
Large beast, unaligned
Armor Class 12
Hit Points roll (2d10+2) to know.

STR15(+2)

DEX14(+2)

COM12(+1)

INT1(-5)

WIS10(+0)

CHAR3(-4)

Senses
Blindsight,
Passive Perception 10

Challenge Xp = (50 XP= 25XP each snake.)

Actions by snake.
(Alternate)

1.) Bite. (Melee Weapon Attack)
+4 to hit, targets one creature.
Hit (1d6 + 2) piercing damage.

2.) Constrict. (Melee Weapon Attack)
+4 to hit, targets one creature.
Hit (1d8 + 2) bludgeoning damage.
The target is grappled (escape DC 14) Until this grapple ends, the creature is restrained, and the snake can't constrict another target

Failure: Leave the dungeon and discard lost items.
Room dimensions: 10 feet by 15 feet
War banners of long-dead houses barely hang from the walls and the once-stuffed benches are ripped apart and broken.
A few empty crates are all that comprise the room's furnishings.

You have three option

Once a bedroom, the room now lays in horrible disrepair as the bed has been shredded and the furnishings are broken and unusable.

Stuffed animals and trophies adorn the walls and are covered in cobwebs. The bows and weapons on the wall are in poor condition and unusable in a fight.

Or

The room is lit by fluorescent mushrooms and covered in magical runes. The alchemy set is in disrepair and useless. Broken vials have been here for quite some time.

Or

The smell of rotting foodstuffs is strong and almost makes you gag. This must have been a pantry long forgotten. The water in the barrels is stagnant and stale. A great deal of dust covers the floor.
War banners of long-dead houses barely hang from the walls and the once-stuffed benches are ripped apart and broken. Search for the entrance to the next section of the dungeon. Check both rooms.

The room is rather dark and damp, with only a few flickering torches illuminating the space.
Skeletons of those long-dead lie on rusted tables and tools for embalming litter the f loor. Nothing interesting here.

Setup: The players enter a square room and immediately the door vanishes behind them. The walls around the room are labelled "#1," "#2," "#3," and "Break me."
Type what you will do.
(Describe in 50 words to GM.)
The correct answer will open the way to the next room. Type your answer and check it by matching it with the solution below.
⚠️Send your answer before checking.
If incorrect, type again to continue.
Solution: Once the players break the fourth wall (i.e. talk out of character😅), a door appears allowing them to exit.

Click below only after you have checked all the previous rooms
& solved all the riddles and defeated all earlier monsters. You will receive a reward after GM checks your messages.

The room contains several pillars, buzzing with electric energy. At the start of each round, lightning erupts between two random pillars. Any creature caught in the lightning is thrown back and receives 6 (1d10) lightning damage. There is an oil pool in mid of the room.

Select your first action in the boss room.
False Appearance. While the ooze remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from an oily pool or wet rock.
You have the advantage. Can attack Oozes first.

You are surrounded by two Oozes. They will attack you first.

The ooze can eat through 2-inch-thick, nonmagical metal in 1 round.

Actions
