Quest Report (31)
Name
: Felicia El Freliti
Level: 8 (5625/7200)
Quest: Joint Military Exercises
Evaluation:
  • Heeded the recruit leader's orders
  • Joined the archer squad
  • Patrolled the outside perimeters of the city
**********
After another restless night, Felicia awoke and reported to the Gelderholm barracks with Sable by her side. Since she hadn't used her bow in a while, she requested to be put on the archer squad, which the recruits' leader reluctantly agreed to after seeing her skills. Since it was just a patrol exercise, and she was a ranged attacker at the moment, all she could see during the march was a sea of other recruits and soldiers. Surprisingly, she recognized a familiar face upfront, Xin, who smiled at her before continuing the march. Despite being protected from all sides, she remained diligent and wary for any signs of danger. Her paranoia was a part of her now, it had saved her countless times. Sable was flying overhead, though not good enough to soar into the clouds, watching for anything out of place.

After hours of walking along the outer perimeter of the city, a loud bird squawk, totally unappealing to the ears, suddenly resounded from above, alerting many of the recruits who had become lax. The recruit leader harrumphed at the sudden noise, but ordered his troops to prepare for battle nonetheless. All was still for a few minutes, until the sound of hissing and slithering crept into everyone's ears. Before long, a tide of tiny snakes, their fangs glistening with lethal venom, slithered through the trees. They numbered the hundreds, perhaps even thousands.

But the recruit leader was not alarmed in the slightest, instead, he immediately ordered the dwarven mages to start firing. Fire bolts and lightning strikes charred the beasts, each spell followed by another at an incredible pace, allowing no time-lags for the snakes to breakthrough. After the majority of the little snakes were disintegrated into dust, bat-winged lizards suddenly appeared over the horizon, carrying bulky lizard-like creatures with shiny scales.

"Archers and Mages fire! Backup our bird! Do not allow them to drop their troops into our army! Melee-combatants be ready to protect our ranged troops!"

Without even a moment's hesitation, this new order rang out amidst the dwarven army, briefly amazing Felicia with his quick thinking and lack of hesitation. Not just anyone had that capability or bravery. With an arrow already notched on her bow, she was one of the first to fire at the winged snakes, trying to halt their advance through the skies. As the arrow neared the lizard, the creature spat out a ball of corrosive acid, dissolving the arrow before it could reach it.

"Archers switch to resin-coated arrows!"

Immediately trying again, she reached over her shoulder for a resin-coated arrow. She briefly noticed Xin was close-by to protect her, which made her chuckle inside since he knew she was could fight melee as well. Her arrow was fired true, but due to the resin and a miscalculation on the wind speed, it merely skimmed the creature before falling. Weighing up the next arrow in her hand and adjusting her aim, she fired again, tearing straight through the lizard's wings she had been aiming for the whole time. Barrelling off course, the lizard bumped into a few of its companions before toppling to the ground with the lizard in its claws.

As more lizards fell, with the dwarven knights quickly rushing over to finish off the injured lizards and battle the bulky shiny-scaled ones, chaos and fighting ensued over the battlefield. Xin tore through the enemies closeby with his greatsword, not giving them a chance to recover from the fall. Sable fought bravely above, not in as much danger as one might think due to the enemy's lack of possible movement. After dodging the poisonous spit and avoiding the bulky lizard's meagre reach, she could easily tear through the enemy's wings with her talons and move onto her next opponent.

Before long, the battle was over with minimal casualties. After sending away the injured and patrolling the perimeter for another hour or so, the day was done. Felicia waved her dwarven comrades goodbye and chatted with Xin over a meal before retiring with Sable, the three of them only minorly injured from today's events.

Report

I faced the generic looking receptionist as I handed in my paperwork "Alright I see that you can do at least some entry-level paperwork, I took a pre-caution this time as you've just arrived but you've exceeded my expectations, over there is some files that need to be organized by mid-morning, you think you can do that?"

"Of course." I went over to the files and started organizing them when I remembered "How is it organized?" The Generic looking man replied "By Letter to number, A-1 Contains all A's and and B-2 Contains all B's, Easy right?" I of course nodded, pretty simple I thought till the man grinned and brought 10 boxes full of files to my side "It's been pretty backed up as of late and I really needed this help, more boxes might arrive later so please be prepared."

I was tricked! I could only smile gently and nod as I began to sort the files into their respective folders. It was fine, at least, though I wonder what I'll learn from this all? I put the file in the folder, the file in the folder, the file in the folder......

By the 3rd hour I had almost finished when the man came back with another box "Oh it looks like your pretty fast, ya know what? I'll let you finish up that box, Though I'd like to ask if your going to be here tomorrow?"

"Yes..?"

"That's great! finish up fast I got more work for you tomorrow!"

I shuddered a bit, only letting out a smile "I look forward to meeting again tomorrow too." After I finished I half-bowed and left to do something else as soon as possible.

Report - Solet' Luna
So what if my wounds are fully healed? I am extremely energetic as I only just got up. After getting scolded by Solet for a little bit, he finally yielded and healed me with his Holy Magic. It seemed that it was already dark, and it was a full moon today, too.

Full moon, I guessed the quest for today would be Moonlight Water then. I would like to test my new sorcery as well as a new potion. E Rank Examination sure worked wonder. After one wondrous journey, my head literally exploded with countless new ideas, referencing from countless wildlife I observed and met.

The night sky was calm and silent. To not let anyone disturb me, I deliberately channelled my sorcery, forming a freezing chill mist around me. The cloudy mist seeped into the forest, forming a nature-like sea of fog. The magical scene would drive every intelligent monster away, making my mission easier than ever.

Donned in my new cloak, I could feel snowflakes forming on them. The plain robe now had a few snowflake patterns on it, enhancing its feature and appearance. Feeling fancy, I let my hair loose and strolled slowly towards the moon. Occasionally, I would hear the singing of night owls and sounds of leaves rustling. Since when did the world become this quiet? I wondered.

Little by little, the memory of the past came tickling my mind. The Golden Rose, the dreamy scenario, the demon cultists, the graveyard, the poison, the God of Primordial Light... Back even before that... Solet's demise, our first meeting, when the church killed my foster parents, when I first learnt about sorcery... Who exactly am I?

I am Lurnea, the evil sorceress of the Felsur Town. I discovered the sorcery from a travelling wanderer, and I killed the first paladin at the age of nine...

No, I am Lurnea, the only foster daughter of both Aelic Salvus and Lerria Salvus. They found me in the forest, on a rock, covered in unknown, black blood with a hint of purple. Beside me was a purple ring, however, it disappeared when I asked about it, never to be seen again...

No, before that... Who am I?

"The clue is in the west—" A soft voice echoed in her mind. A silhouette of a priestess appeared out of nowhere and whispered into her ears.

"Or maybe it is a danger?—" Her cheerful voice giggled, as the strange sensation emerged from within my heart. The strange dream seemed to replay itself in my head. I needed to know the truth.

"Gelderholm..." My mouth unconsciously muttered the word. I looked forwards, seeing that a moonlight lake was before me, I slowly walked towards it.

The mission was completed successfully, but the questions still remained.
Five bottles of moonlight water received here's your reward.

Once again, Benji had submitted his report in the form of 200 sketches and, once again, a transcribed narrative has been attached for easier evaluation.

As of before, Benji's shift started from some point in the night to the first light of the day. This time, however, his chosen post does not include the view of a clocktower, which used to provide accurate timestamps of Benji's sketches. For now, we could only assume he's keeping up the intervals between the sketches, and that the pages are in chronological order.

Even if the sketches aren't done orderly, through Benji's sketches, we could conclude that nothing worthy of note had happened during the night, except for the arrival of a cat that somehow made its way into Benji's post. It accompanied him for about 80 sketches before Benji ran out of rations in Little Green Bag to feed the feline and walked away out of boredom. That is the most notable thing in Benji's quest report, which goes to show how uneventful the night has been.

At around the 120th sketch, Benji had found a cool-looking rock in his post, and had placed it somewhere on the railing, including it in his subsequent sketches until its last page.

Attached:
  • 3 leather books containing 200 pages of quest reports in the form of detailed sketches
  • A cool-looking rock
Reported artifacts from Little Green Bag:
  • None
Glad nothing of note happened.

Quest Report

"Do you understand where these addresses are?" the receptionist asked.
"Yes... it's because I do, which is why I took this quest."
The receptionist leaned over and nodded, "Ah, I see, then take care~"

Name: Oam Lola
Quest: Delivery
Summary: - Delivered packages successfully.

After taking a rest for the whole day, I decided to take a quest to earn money. The first delivery was to Shiori's. It seemed like some kind of liwuid was sloshing around inside the box... but I didn't take a look. It was a bit of a long trip, so I hired a passing carriage and arrived a little after morning. She seemed to be happy to see me... but became disappointed that I was busy. Well the package is delivered in any case.

Went very well.

The second package was apparently stones from from outside the city towards the main temple. I knew the location like the back of my hand, so I arrived soon after. The stones were quite heavy though, so I had to make a few trips between the guild and temple... I'm afraid I might have back pain later..

But the quest went well.

The last quest was towards someone called Dazar which was actually the most difficult. The city is a bit lopsided, so it took a while before I found the location. A small section, somewhere near the western slums, in an alley way with a metal gate.. a little bit intimidating. But the guy was not that bad. The package was just a letter too. He had a lot of runes painted on his body though. I wonder if he's a mage.

Uhn, it's done.

Yes! it's done! it's done! This was surprisingly simple and pleasant!

OOC: WHOOPS LOL okay im in the correct board now
Well done here's your reward.

Quest - (Evaluated)

Night was approaching and I had a good afternoon sleep in my room. I just had dinner and decided to swing by the guild if I could do a quest for the night. One particular quest caught the attention of my eye.

It's been awhile since I had a dutiful job. I decided to take it and go go back to the tavern and don my full equipment. I asked a few locals to where is the prison block and was told that it was under the large watch tower with an insignia hanging from. From there I immediately recognized the watch tower with insignia and headed there. I soon saw a guardsman standing near the door on standby and approached him. He seemed surprised when a hulking figure was walking towards him.

"Greetings, I have been designated as such here in duty for inmate sentinel."

Quickly, he guided me inside the building towards a room for the use of an officer. At center of the room was a woman in knightly figure and attire, she was sitting on simple whilst writing on a what seems to be a scroll on the desk between. She stops writing and takes a quick glance at me, motions the guard to leave and returns to what she was doing before.

"So you want to be a prison guard? How come I've never heard of you when you're a walking hunk of metal. Doesn't matter, in this place I'm one of the Wardens, You will address me as Warden or Ma'am. Back to topic, you're in luck since not many take on the night shift. Bad luck for you since I'm assigning you to one of the notorious ones."

She stands up and grabs one the scrolls, only to hand it to me. I unroll it to see the contents.

Name: Jackrol "The Faint"
Class: Thief
Affiliation: Unknown
Crimes: Burglary - Arson - Selling of black market goods - Trespassing
Notes: Criminal has been imprisoned multiple times and has been known to escape said prisons. Must be kept at watch All Times. Has a tendency to remain quiet if a guard is placed nearby as thus necessary precautions are mandatory. Is known to have escaped if no such guard is placed. Use of force is allowed if criminal is caught escaping or attempting to escape. Take care as his moves are nimble but body has a weak constitution.

Jackrol huh.... and with a title to next to him. Those are generally given to famous or infamous people in my world if I remember correctly. I close the scroll and gave it back to the warden.

She makes a loud whistle and a guard comes in. She only says the name of the prisoner and I could faintly see him furrow his eyebrows while slightly glancing at me with pity. We both left the warden's office as went straight to the prison cells.

I passed by some inmate during my way to my assigned cell. Some of them silently stared at the ceiling while other were glaring at use as we passed by. I arrived infront of my cell block.

"The prisoner will be transported in a few minutes until then stay put until he arrives. When the job starts never let him.... Out Of Sight."

I could feel bloodlust coming from him as he said those last as I could only nod to confirm. He leaves and I was left at the edge of the hallway, I immediately noticed it dark and damp with only torches nearby to light up the pathways. I place my large steel lance against the wall, and placed the tower shield infront of me while being held upright on its top by both of my hands. If one was to look at me even at a near distance, they would think I am just a suit of armor standing tall. Moments later I could hear footsteps coming. Two guards were escorting a feeble prisoner in the middle. The prisoner was only wearing worn rags while having an unkempt hair and beard, the only noticeable thing was his scarred right that was cut.

The cell was opened and he was shoved into it. Closing the cell door, a guard took a quick glance at me then left. I was unsure if he saw my eyes as it was too dark to see between the opening of my helm. I could only slightly see Jackrol as the light from the torch could only faintly light it till his cell door.

Time passed as what seems to be hours and I still remain unmoving. Occasionally Jackrol would go to his cell door and stare at me, as if observing. Nonetheless, I remain firm in my stance. There were moments where I internally panicked as Jackrol would not move from the shadows as if it had completely absolved him. I still remained resolute in those times since I truly believed he did not escape the cell.

A wolf's howl echoed in the night when suddenly, I head faint clank. I was a bit surprised but still remained unmoving. Slowly the clanking sound started to increase, it seems Jackrol was throwing pebbles at me at, specifically at my shield of exposed armor. It was annoying but non-threatening.

All of a sudden he showed a fist sized rock under the light. Where the hell did he get that?! I wanted to stop him but remained still to see what he would do next. He threw the rock at my lance and my long steel lance and it fell down on me. A loud clank should even be heard at the end of the hallway. Moments passed nothing happened. After briefly staring at me, he showed a toothy smile.

"Ekekeke~~ All as planned then."

After those words, he held out a key from inside his cell. What the hell?! When did he get that?! He opened his cell and approached me.

"I thought those bastards betrayed me. I even thought there was someone in this hunk of metal. This stuff looks heavy, premium even. Ekekeke~~~ Can't be too careful though. I'll come back for you some other time."

At finally long last I can confirm..... he is ESCAPING. With that signal in my mind, I slightly set aside my tower shield and gave him the full brunt of my punch to his face. He staggered in surprise and he held his bleeding face, noticing that he dropped his "cell" key, I raised my tower shield with one hand and full slammed it onto his body. The force sent him flying back to his cell all bruised up as he groaned in pain on the floor. I picked up the "cell" key and locked his cell door once again.

"Duh heil?! Ai daught yew whar jhast ahh ssyuth!"

From the sound of his voice he seems alive and hurt. I ignored him, stood my long steel lance back up and returned to my usual unmoving stance. The rest of the night was just him screaming on how it was impossible for a heavy suit of armor to move so fast or him just cursing me. Either way, I ignored him and the morning finally came.

I reported on what happened last night and left the key to the warden. When I gave her the key she had a grin on her face as if satisfied and told me that she'll look into this matter.

Now that morning was up, I left for the guild to file my report. Man I'm tired and stiff as an armour.

Greetings to you Guild

I have uphold my task in securing an inmate in it's cell. Said inmate was said to be named Jackrol "The Faint". Although he attempted to flee due to him in possession of a cell key. I swiftly apprehended him and once again locked him in his cell due to my "forced" persuasion. I have already reported such findings to the female warden and may inquire her about it, if you find my statements to be of dubious origins. Although the matter has been resolved, it concerns me on how such an inmate was able to hold of possession of such key. I will leave this matter to you if find it as such of worth investigating.

At service to you, Lancer Reival

QUEST REPORT (NOT YET APPRAISED)

After some walking around, I found a tavern. When I entered, it was full of adventurers. They were drinking, shouting, fighting. It was pretty hectic. I snuck my way to the bartender and asked him the price of a room.
"10G, Meals Included." Is what he said.
I happily paid, ate some food, and finally got myself some sleep. :)

"So, you are the one who will escort me?" The man asked in a cold tone.

She nodded at the man. It was very strange, she thought. The forest was not harmless for those who have no combat experience. She thought if this person, a civilian want something to be done in the forest, he would make a request to the guild instead.

The man seemed to be quite wealthy, looking from his appearance. His appearance was practical, to put it into words. A knife and a machete on his belt, heavy duty pants, white shirt, and a brimmed hat. She wondered if the man realized what was really in the forest?

What did the man want, for him to enter the forest willingly?

The man pulled a map from his bag. He unfolded the map of the Scribel region and used his finger to point at a location on the map.

"Since the guild seem to trust you, I'll extend that trust. I want you to lead me to this place."

----------------------------------------------

As they stepped through the gate, she transformed. The man stepped back when she did this. Yet, he did not flee. He stared at her as her appearance become more feral. She levitated her body and faced him.

"So, is this the power the adventurer from the other world?" he mumbled in a small voice. He then said, "No, it shouldn't matter at all."

RIP. TEAR. KILL.

'Calm down!' she thought. She had a purpose. She had to bring the person to his destination. She should not use her claw to pierce through his body, and take his life.

She had to do it. Bring the adventurer to the location he asked. She had to do her job.

"Hold on," she told him. The man, seeing her showing her back, complied. he hugged her from the back, holding her tightly as they flew.

-----------------------------------------

They arrived on the vicinity of the destination. She wondered if there was a landmark or something that marked that point. As they landed, he started to take a deep breath. Then, he said.

"Adventurer, go above." He said. "I want you to look for a clearing, where you can find plants you cannot find elsewhere on this forest. When you see that place, immediately go back to me."

Was that all? The man also picked a direction and look around. What he asked her to do was to scout around, while guarding him was one the mission requirement.

She began to listen to the world. The man made a lot of noise with him moving around. The sound of flowing water could be heard from 4 o'clock direction from her. There was the noise of insects and other wildlife, and no noise that signify the activity of other threats like goblin or wolf. She thought that it was safe.

She left him to scout from the sky.

-----------------------------------------

She found a few clearing, but only one that fit the man's criterion. Since she found it, she went back. She found the man resting, his back laid against a tree.

"You found it?"

She nodded, and led the man to that place.

-----------------------------------------

They arrived at the clearing.

"Witch of the forest! Heed my call! I wish to make a deal!" The man shouted.

Witch? She began to wonder once again about the man's intention. What did the man meant by witch? When the practitioner of magic could be found anywhere, why did the man went here? Was there something that only the witch could do?

"Witch of the forest! Heed my call! I wish to make a deal!" The man shouted again.

She looked around. There was no change at all. Did they enter the wrong place? was there any other clearing with strange, rare plants like in here?

"Witch of the forest! Heed my call! I wish to make a deal!" The man shouted once more.

both the man and her waited around for a while. The man looked around, trying to see the sign of the witch's presence. She did too, but found nothing. She gave up and observed the man, resting her body on the ground.

A crow flew from somewhere, perched on the shoulder of the man. Was it the witch, who sent the crow? The man and the crow seem to be communicating, and the man went somewhere to the east.

She stood, preparing to follow the man. It was then, that she heard the cawing of another raven. She looked up, and found a murder of them perched above her.

"You don't have the right to follow him." a voice behind her said.

She immediately turned her back, and begin her transformation once again. As she turned, what she found was a strange sight. A pair of jet-black wings grew from his back. His feature was of a man, with pale white skin, black hair and black eyes.

Was this man the witch of the forest they sought? or was he related to the witch? She had to protect her client. She could not leave him alone.

The person in front of her did not show any hint of aggression. He just stood there, watching her. If he would not do anything at all, she thought, she would go to her client. She turned back when she heard,

"Stop."

-------------------------------

In one breath, It was suddenly night. When she look around, she found her client coming from the east. As for the winged man, he vanished, as well as the murder of crows.

The man in front of her commanded her to bring him back. She did not know if the man found what he sought. Though, she did not feel the tension coming from him anymore. The man grabbed onto her body and they flew back to Scribel City.

Level: 8 (5625/7200)
Quest: Flower of the Blood Fields
Evaluation:
  • Destroyed a nest of baby snakes
  • Killed an ambushing viper hidden in a skeleton head
  • Safely retrieved a Blood Flower
**********
It was almost twilight.

Felicia silently got dressed and armoured up, before slipping away into the darkness of night. As she was about to leave the city, a sudden quiet chirp startled her. Turning behind her, she almost couldn't believe her eyes. Sable was waddling up to her quietly, nudging her fondly with her giant fluffy feathers. Sighing softly, she whispered. "Fine then, but don't get grumpy at me in the morning." She smiled before petting her companion and heading towards the farmlands, beyond which were the Blood Fields.

Smiling at the guards on night watch duty, she slowly made her way through the mountain forests, using her controlled fire magic to light her way, cautious of the nocturnal creatures roaming the land. As she passed by the poisoned fields of withered crops, she found a nest of baby snakes hidden carefully beneath a tree covered in shrubbery. Without hesitation this time, she was about to burn them all to a crisp when Sable popped out from behind her and gobbled them up. Felicia was briefly surprised, having temporarily forgotten about her companion's insatiable hunger. She worried for whether the baby snakes were poisonous or not, but so far Sable hadn't eaten anything that would cause her harm. She had good instincts it seemed. Still, she burnt the nest, careful to control the light and intensity of the flames, before continuing the journey.

Finally, she reached the Blood Fields. True to what she had heard, the land was covered in decaying flora and fauna, with skeletal remains strewn about randomly. Although the place appeared grassy from a glance, who knows how much of the grass here was actually still alive. Cautiously, Felicia searched through the fields for hours, looking for that one blood-red flower that could save someone's life. As she combed through the grass using her sword, she noticed that the earth was not brown, but a strange mix of purple and black. Truly a field soaked in poison.

As she neared the outskirts of the fields with her search, she finally miraculously found one. A tiny but beautiful flower, blooming through the eye socket of a creature's skeleton head. Strangely enough, despite being a carnivore, Sable seemed oddly interested in the flower as well. Just as she gently plucked the flower, a viper suddenly shot out towards her hand, before being unexpectedly clawed and flung away by Sable. After finishing the kill with her sword, she hugged Sable and promised to go hunting with her later, before carefully bringing the little Blood Flower back to Gelderholm.

"Cross Scratch!" she shouted as her claw pierced the herb slime body.

'So that makes five. We've gathered five slime cores and five twin flowers already. Do you want to go back?"

"
Mm... will go for fifteen." She said to the voice.

'Oh. Planning to repeat the quest?'

"Nn..."

----------------------------------

The sun already risen overhead when she returned to the city, She finished her gathering, pocketing ten slime core and ten stem of twin flowers in her bag, while preparing to submit the requested item to the Alchemist guild.

When she entered the guild, She saw a queue of people filled with people armed with weapons or those with mage robe. She presumed from their appearance that they were adventurers.

"The price of healing potions in Gelderholm rise again."

"You sure? What happened?"

"A failed charge against those hydras, I've heard. There was too many victim this month, that the commander did a forced acquisition of those potions from the adventurers. Not to mention the healing cost there."

"That's horrible. Though, I wouldn't want to set my foot there."

"Yeah, me too."

"I guess that's my turn. Let's chat again at the tavern?"

"sure."

The girl two row in front of her then submitted something to the receptionist. Soon, it was hers to do business with the receptionist.

"Good Afternoon, adventurer. May I see your quest?"

She showed her quest to the receptionist.

"Alright, we've received the requested item. You will be paired with alchemist Maximillia in room 503. Have a good day."

-------------------------------------

"Come in."

The woman was sitting on her desk, reading a book. The woman motioned her to sit on the chair in front the woman.

"Alright. I'm Maximillia, your mentor for today, I guess. Your name?"

"Meiko."

"Alright Meiko. So this is how this works. Today, you'll gather these two ingredients for me, as many as possible before... 5PM. You can find grasshopper at... well, I guess if you go to a random garden you may found them. That's the same as snails. Borrow a basket from the receptionist first, to gather those. Now go."

-----------------------------------

In the afternoon.

"You're back? Now let's prepare for the potion making. Because of its time sensitive nature, we can't make a lot of it. But, this potion of ours is quite profitable."

Brewing MethodJust after sunset
EffectBeauty
Primary ingredientHandful of Grasshopper parts
Secondary ingredientSnails
Duration1 day and 1 night
Side effect whilst potion is activeCant form coherent words

1. grind the grasshopper parts. Make sure that the grounded grasshopper be shone by the sunset.
2. Extract the juice from the snails, and mix those with the grounded grasshopper. Make sure the snail was exposed to the moonlight for two days and two nights beforehand. The mixing must be done at dusk.
3. Heat the mixture with fire. Add water, according to the number of day passed since new moon. If it is new moon, add 1tbsp of alcohol instead. You need 1 tbsp of water for each day after new moon, until it was full moon. shake well.
4. Let the water evaporate. Then add water again.
Note: For maximum potency, add only one cup of water. This will make the ugliest girl ever walked on earth be as beautiful as Princess Rosa from the now ruined Dalmasca Kingdom. The effect on beautiful girl, the author found, made the appearance uncanny that no one wanted to approach the person. Don't use this potion on male, as this made them fascinated on their newfound beauty.
5. Bottle the potion.

"I've prepared the ingredients on the table there. I've also noted the time for each phase. Just follow the instruction."

'Is this for real? Beauty potion in fantasy world? Next time we'll find out that the water mage can moisturize the skin, making them the best at skin care.'

She could imagine the voice's eyes twitched.

-------------------------------

'Is it a success?'

She wondered about that too. The guide didn't say any indicator of failure. She bottled the potion and give it to Maximillia.

"Alright. The result is quite good. Keep half a bottle, perhaps someday you will find someone whom you want to shut up. Now, go to the receptionist below and show the other half.", The woman said.

Thanking her, she left the woman on her own device.

-------------------------------

"Alright, this is the proof of success from the alchemist guild. Give this to the receptionist when you submit the quest report, okay?"

She nodded and left.
Those are some strange potions they make over there.

QUEST REPORT (NOT YET APPRAISED)

Looks like things are tough over there stay strong.

Well done, we can always use more hands over here.

Quest - (Evaluation Needed)

She only says the of the prisoner and I could faintly see him furrow his eyebrows while slightly glancing at me with pity. We both left the warden's office as went straight to the prison cells.

I passed by some inmate during my way to my assigned cell. Some of them silently stared at the ceiling while other were glaring at use as we passed by. I arrived infront of my cell block.

"The prisoner will be transported in a few minutes until then stay put and until he arrives.

Quest Report (32)

Oh I've heard rumors of those flowers, apparently they're very beautiful. Though I've never seen one myself.

Quest: Healing Herbs
Evaluation:
  • Collected 4 small sacks of brightweed and one sack of twin flowers
**********
Before taking on any quests, Myria spent the next few days familiarizing herself with Scribel and trying to decipher the strange but beautiful book she has had with her ever since she entered this world. Since she had already camped outside and survived off only grass for a while, she was fine with continuing to do so for a little longer. Not like she was going to be able to pay the stable fees anytime soon, 15G per day? That means she'd have to do at least a quest a day! And if she took a break for once, she'd immediately get kicked out! Hence why she was a little reluctant to begin boarding and getting too comfortable just yet. And the grass out in the forests was quite tasty too. It was brightly coloured and seemed to soothe her when she ate it.

Anyway, back to the book. Strangely enough, the book was written in a language that was foreign yet familiar to her. The characters were very different to what she had seen here in Scribel in the books, signboards and spoken tongue, but she could understand it perfectly. It made sense to assume that it was the language of her old world or wherever she came from. Even more strange about the book, was that after she read through the first page about the fundamentals of inscription, magic and mana, the rest of the pages suddenly turned blank. She definitely remembered that text and strange drawings filled the book previously, undoubtedly baffling her. As someone who loved interesting things, Myria took this as a challenge! Perhaps there were clues in the first page she read? Maybe if she mastered this mana sensing and manipulation that it talked about, she would understand how to reveal the later contents of the book?

Her interest piqued, after meditating, exploring her consciousness and looking for signs in the outside world, it took her until the dawn of the day she chose to take her first quest to learn how to sense mana. If she focused her eyes and discarded thoughts of the material world, she could see faint tendrils of wispy energy. Excitedly, she decided to quickly finish her first quest before continuing to explore this strange phenomenon.
After heading out of Scribel City towards the Northern Scribel Forests, Myria was given a sense of nostalgia as she trotted through the woods. Afterall, this was where she got hopelessly lost the first time she arrived here in Tonia. With a bit of a playfully experimental smile on her face, she used her newly awakened mana sensing capabilities to look around the area. Curiously enough, the grass she was so used to eating actually shone slightly with tendrils of light green energy wafting off of it. Wait... was this brightweed? All this time, she's been eating a type of common healing herb? No wonder she felt so revitalised despite eating nothing but grass these past few days! Ah, learning new things was so exciting! She thought to herself as she quickly stuffed the small sacks she borrowed from the guild with the shiny grass.

Additionally, she found plants with twin flowers that also shone with light green mana, which she shoved into the last sack. Due to her size, she could only request someone else to borrow the notes on healing herbs for her, which meant that she only knew of the plant in the notes that they had given her, which was brightweed. When she got back to Scribel, she'd hopefully find someone else to get the information on this two-flowered plant for her too. Since she's gotten the basics of mana sensing, it was time to learn how to manipulate it. Though, that'd wait till after she handed in her report for the day~

Though, that'd wait till after she handed in her report for the day~
Well done here's your reward.

This Scribel is similar to the one I came from, yet slightly different, at the very least the Guild master is not the same decrepit old man that I sometimes see in my Scribel. The guild have asked that I secure a place to sleep. "Homeless" that's nothing new, I guess.

I went and checked out my old haunts, they are around... mostly. The abandon church is here as well, right at the edge between the slums and "respectable" society, it suited me just fine.

As always left loose rocks lying around, an scattered dried twigs, even loosened a few floor board, the sound a person makes walking through the old building became it own alarm system.

Can never be too safe... not in Scribel. Never know what come crawling out of the dark looking for you, but for now in this old church, the only thing that found me was sleep.

The guild kitchen was huge, but then again coming from someone that do not have a kitchen, any kitchen is huge. This quest is important, the getting access there is important, I had lived too many day eating scraps off the side of the street. The warm fire and the scent of food was more addictive than I realized.

The work was hard, not because it was a difficult task, but it was physical and repetitive. Though, once the body got used to the kitchen heat, the work and have the recipe was memorised, creating 40 rations was only a matter of time.
