Fantasy Blues

Blues harmonica

on a hot summer’s day.

The rustle of corn stocks in the cool breeze.

A dusty dirt road and the black clouds

of an approaching lightning storm.

A flash from that dark wall, as

thunder rumbles over the sky

and a fresh wind blows cold—

the sweetest kiss of serenity

as the growl and whine of a single-prop biplane—distant,

scrabbles across the horizon.

The loamy scent of earth in the air,

the coming rain

and the day’s hard work, done.

My muscles ache, and life is good.

A cliché—the blues for a fantasy even,

but if ever I return home…

I read it using some Celtic dnd music as a background and it magically turned into a folk music :D
