That would be rather tragic.
Well RIP (I forgot his name), I liked him but won't miss him and don't care why he was banned, laws should be followed no matter what.

Yeah when unrelated to gaming it is generally called either an alt or sock-puppet.

The smurf is mostly to avoid skill based matchmaking that separates experienced players from the newer ones so everyone is of similar levels of ability and not just having one side trounce the other and smurfs intentionally circumvent that so the one using a smurf account can partake in some trouncing.

Meanwhile sock puppets/alts are usually either for evading bans or for manipulating perception. Like someone using other accounts to back up their main account to make it seem their opinion is held wider than it actually is in a community.

Neither are looked on very favourably though.

Ban evasion is against the rules... if it's the same user. I'm not confirming anything

Anyways, I have nothing against anyone on this platform as I don't know anyone well enough here. I let a lot of things go because I'm pretty easygoing online and IRL but when you keep trying to push it, it's best for you to go find another platform that will allow that kind of stuff.

Also banning the original user saved me from ignoring them which I had already hovered over twice in as many days due to the amount of inane spamming.

That was their response. Which was a little underwhelming when I thought I was somehow missing some kind of CP ring hiding on this site despite spending hours a day on it.

Way more concerned when on FF my novels get spam comments offering to sell it every few days on my novels and since they are anonymous there isn't much I can do beyond just block and remove them when they occur.

A dude made a thread like a year ago about CP. Said something but never actually did anything at all. Before he made that thread about CP, he was writing extremely offensive alt-right takes, and after making that thread about CP he kept doing it. In a recent week or so, he increased the pacing and started spamming everyone and everything with the said offensive takes. So, he got banned.

Yep, that's him. And you are correct, he posted about leaving, and then returned after deleting his profile post where he said he would leave. And he never spammed about loli. He made one thread about loli. The rest was stuff like, Hitler was actually alright, gays should be cured, and so on.

The thread is now gone, but he basically insulted every BL reader by, I quote, reading yaoi a condition in need of cure.

And it's not the first time he spammed the forum en masse with super controversial stuff to get high.

Yeah I didn't actually see him talk about loli or CP, but did see him going off on people over political stuff, religious stuff, and anti-gay comments at least in the past few days.

I don't know how much if any of it was serious since most of it was mixed with what came across mostly as spam and trolling.

I don't even mind controversial discussions, but only when they are being done in a serious manner, since that was about as far as you could be from what he was doing I was already considering setting him to ignore since none of his posts/replies seemed to have much of any value.

I will say this. If it was a trolling, it was the most lazy, boring, and uninventive trolling I've ever seen. No subtlety whatsoever. Dude just straight up spammed the things majority finds to be extremely offensive. And the fact he is allegedly against CP, smut, and LGBTQ, only adds to the laziness. The way he spammed was more irritating than the actual content.
