On this site? Seriously? I don't think there are any man. They do find loopholes around the 18+ rule(like she is a cat girl and cats are adults by the age of 8), but nothing ever straight up violates it

Agentt is right. Most stories use loopholes rather than actually breaking the rules. There are probably stories that break the rules, but they are still up because no one reported them. There are not a lot of mods(if any besides Tony), so some stories that violate the rules might exist while unnoticed. But if someone report it to Tony, those stories will be deleted.

The rules as a whole are lax and so is the overall mood on the forums, but that doesn't make rule-enforcing lax.

allow me to put on my tinfoil hat and claim that this story is probably one of those too big to fail type stories. not saying Tony is situationally lax on moderation, but seeing as the story's sitting on a rare 1.9 million views pulling consistent hundreds of views and tens of favourites each new chapter, it's safe to say this story alone is pulling a hefty amount of readers into the site. as for the quality and factors of said story, well, I think the status screen explains itself.

i could give a fair assessment that the author may be utilizing an animal's shorter lifespan and factoring it into the story. i do that with mine; compared to a human, my beastkins reach middle age around 30. but at the same time, I haven't read the story and seeing from the delicious reviews it receives, I think I'm overextending my olive branch here.

I'm writing a Boku No Hero Academia fanfic on the side (unpublished, don't search for it) and I had to increase the age of every character in advance using slightly BS but logical universe building (characters start high school at age 20 lol, and they look adult but they're still somewhat immature). Well... Don't search for any high school settings with the smut tag.
Also, the problem with using the number 18 is that the average age of consent increased very recently in history, it used to be closer to 12 when it even existed. It's basically a legal method to decrease the population's fertility and marriage success rates.
So what if you want to write a historically accurate novel that also has smut? You can't, not here. In some ways it's a bummer, in some ways it keeps away degenerates. Pros and cons. I'm ok with that.

It's more of a legal requirement because the site is hosted on US and to not get in trouble with advertisers and stuff. It's not like Tony can't understand the historical aspect of underage relationships, it's just a bit of a necessity to keep the site running and providing revenue.
