Today I just wrote a draft of 1200 words on my android phone, and for some reason that little bastard decided to stop working. I had to reset it to make it work again. But now I lost all of my drafts as well as novel notes. So I am looking for an app that works on android as well as on my ipad and also have a sync feature (It’s fine even if it is a paid app).
I have already used notion and for some reason the developers went extra steps to prevent anyone from selection all words in a draft.
As for Grammarly, It only works on my Ipad, It doesn’t have android version.
For some reason I don’t like any of the googls apps.

For me, Google Docs is the only option. The internet connection is super bad, so i have to write offline most of the time.

Both of these have a dropbox feature, I use them because I hate google in general.

If not, Microsoft Word should be enough cuz of the autosave feature,

You can use Evernote. It’s available across all devices and you can sync your notes up to 2 devices for the free plan, but it’s unlimited for the paid the version. It also has many other notes organizational features that might be helpful too.

Use google Docs for writing, it is essentially a free Microsoft word.

If you are using Grammarly to help with grammar mistakes, you can always try using a free grammar bot. Just be careful when correcting ‘mistakes’, sometimes you are correct and the bot is wrong.

Also listening to your chapter with a Text to speech bot, can help you find passages that leave things out or are hard to understand.

I would use Google docs for working on multiple devices. I prefer drafting things in Word, but I copy and paste things to a Google doc so my husband can beta read.

simple write in a note book. I have literally 39 note books full of story beats that will never see the light of day

Good idea, better than when I write porn in docs and somewhere in the Google headquarters they have a backup of it.

No so good idea if you have a crappy handwriting like mine. P.s it took me awhile to understand the things in my old notebook.

I use Zoho Docs.

It has an auto-sync feature, you can work offline, and it has an advanced writing feedback system integrated into the platform.

There's a very simple stripped down writing app called Simplenote. It can tag stuff, it syncs to a cloud, and there's a desktop browser version if you want to switch between the two. Very easy
