Did you ever feel scared uploading your chapter

Soo i have reviewing my draft and there is one chapter that did not match the sequance of event,like if the chapter before was like 2year after the chapter before it,this draft was like go back again 2 years ago ,i want to develop my supportive character but i feel scared to upload it

Believe me, overthinking, and fear are your worst enemies. If you reread your chapters every time, thinking they are not good enough, nothing will be published.

Will they be perfect? Nah. But striving for perfection is what makes people fail because it will never be perfect.

But it can be good enough. Just release it. You will improve while writing actively, and you can always come back and fix errors if others point it out.

Can you make the character remember a chapter that is out of order? Some kind of flashback chapter? Just specify it at the start for the readers.

Its like this bro,the chapter before was showing supportive character, and this draft chapter ,showing the other supportive character is that a bit weird,i mean they are different character but,i feel like the mc will lose its momentum

It’s less me being afraid of posting it, and moreso the fact that I don’t like the final product that keeps me from posting. I have scrapped entire chapters (that took me a week to finish) just because I didn’t like how they turned out, and that’s probably for the best. Some of the stuff that comes from my mind is horrific.

I'm always nervous whenever I release a new chapter haha. I've been uploading fanfiction and original fanfiction for almost ten years and the fear never goes away. But the result is always worth it :) You just have to push through that fear

You hold the vision for your story. Your skill may not be where you want it yet, but the vision is still there.

Ask yourself, or, maybe rather, ask your story if this is the direction you/it want/s to go.

Conflict and Strife are parts of life. We must endure and ever stronger grow <3.

If conflict happens, you will learn where you stand. And the more of that you learn, the closer you are to finding those meant for you.

You'll do well. Listen to your concerns, but do not let them control you.

Yes I often feel scared at some point or another uploading a story. It actually caused one to stall completely. Most of the time I just feel uncomfortable and post it. I gave up on the idea of big numbers and that is okay. As long as I can read it that is enough, if someone else enjoys it then that is a bonus.

I would recommend writing an outline for your story beforehand ^^ its common sense for some, but I personally write my content like an adventure with an endpoint in mind, but the details in the middle are events that I come up with as the story moves along.

I would also suggest you have confidence in your project, recognize the story you want to tell and go with it. Time skips aren't a foreign concept and you do run a risk of alienating your audience if you don't do it well. Just make sure the audience is aware of the events that happened so that the story can move forward.

One thing I dislike is when a time skip is done for the sake of pausing the story, because the new subplot is getting the readers to catch up to what the author intentionally skipped for intrigue haha.

No. Little to be scared of when no one will read it but myself. You can flashback, time travel, time skip. It's your story. If something needs telling, do not hesitate. You can always edit it later. Is this not part of the reason people publish on sites like this one? To get feedback and slowly refine their stories? Do it.
