Usually, a character I look at and think "... she'd be better off dating her maid" and wind up dropping the story because of. But if I was going to be more specific, most of the time, the main love interest is someone substantially older than her, constantly creeping and stalking her, blonde-haired, blue-eyed, probably a prince with political leverage over her so she can't outright beat the shit out of them, condescending... That's about the list of qualities I see in most stories, I think.
Edit: Oh, or some fucking shmuck that has no right to actually gain her attention that throws himself in the way of some attack that wouldn't have done anything to her and constantly demeans worries about her because "He's worried about her safety, even if no one else is :(." Can't forget that trope. Usually reserved for the stories where everyone else in the world thinks she's a monster because she's capable, though.

Why are you taking a shit here? Do you need help with the plumbing in your house?
All burns are rendered invalid if you have to edit your comment to say them. It shows it took longer than it should've to come up with it.

You're right. I should have just ignored you in the first place.

Could you mention each one of the variety and explain in more detail ?
They need to have a balance of traits. There can be some overlap/repetition between men, but there should be someone rich who is used to getting his way and someone poor who understands the value of hard work. There should be someone funny to make her laugh and someone serious who can help her make plans. There should be someone who can cook, clean, sew, and watch the kids. There should be someone gentle who can comfort her when she needs a shoulder to cry on and someone rough who will pin her to the wall and fuck her at a moment's notice.

Essentially this:
Ah, yes, because nothing says "relatable character" like a protagonist with a laundry list of over-the-top abilities. Our dear forum member ACertainPassingUser has posed a question that shakes the very foundation of literary subtlety. With a title that sounds like a recipe for narrative disaster, let's dive into the perplexing realm of the Mary Sue MC's romantic endeavors.

Picture it: a world where the sun's rays seem to shine solely on our Mary Sue, bless her unmatched beauty that even ancient Greek sculptures would envy. Her magical powers are so staggering that Dumbledore himself would raise an eyebrow, her spirit contracts make Pokémon trainers look like amateurs, and her summoned cute beast could give any Disney sidekick an inferiority complex. And let's not forget the obligatory family of fairies—because every self-respecting Mary Sue needs a posse of diminutive winged companions.

Now, for the all-important question: What kind of man could possibly hold a candle to this paragon of perfection? Certainly not someone with any sense of self-worth or dignity. No, our Mary Sue deserves nothing less than a fellow who's equal parts knight in shining armor, sorcerer supreme, and professional heartthrob. He must gaze upon her with a mix of awe and incredulity, as if he can't believe he's sharing the same dimension with her.

In a twist of irony, he should also be just the right amount of brooding, mysterious, and emotionally damaged. This will ensure that Mary Sue's unconditional love can "fix" him, because isn't that the pinnacle of healthy relationships?

Their courtship will be an epic saga of stolen glances, poetic soliloquies, and the occasional dramatic rescue, where every obstacle melts away before their perfection. Conflict? Who needs it when you have two flawless beings locking eyes under the starlit sky?

So there you have it, dear forum member ACertainPassingUser. The recipe for a Mary Sue MC's matrimonial bliss is as follows: One heaping serving of impossible beauty, a dash of every supernatural power known to fiction, a sprinkle of tragic backstory, and a romance partner who's more like a cardboard cutout of a man than an actual character.

Bon appétit!

For Mary Sue MC of shoujo stories with OP power of absolute maiden beauty, unpararelled magic, spirit contracts, sumoned cute beast, and family of fairies,

What kind of man would romantically interest them ?
Probably a fat, balding blob guy who has no redeeming qualities.
