I'm not really new, but my procrastination levels have hit a new extreme lately, so why not?

Name/Nickname you want us to call you
I am one with maaany names and many identities. It is hard to argue whether @Generic.Archdemon or I have more "clones". I think I am older than him though, in the sense that my original account on NUF stretches back to 2015. Usually what I do is that every couple months, I create a new account and abandon the prior ones, so I'm constantly floating along... I'm very elusive and difficult to pin down.

Hobbies/interests
I started as a translator (Chinese => English), but I've always liked writing.
I like talking to strangers on the Internet, particularly when anonymous.

Genres you read often/tags you often look for
Probably fantasy josei/shoujo, but not too historical/CN. I also like politics and smut.

Your favourite novel/read and WHY; please state why at least since we wanna know more about what type of reads you like and it might help people to find out if they can contribute to your reading list
I like a bunch, but two I'll list are:
  • Wandering Inn
  • Kusuriya no Hitorigoto
and even some of the stories you wrote on scribble hub.
Then add anything you like
It's probably better if you don't read my stories. They're disastrous.
The most recent novel I was translating is I Was Adopted By A Dragon In Another World.

I'm rather new. Joined like a few days ago.
Nickname: I don't really have one. Tridetect seems short enough.
My hobbies/interests are drawing and playing games. Mostly rpgs since their stories are interesting and get my mind racing for what I should do in my stories.
I mostly read stuff on writers sites like this. I like to help other aspiring writers get their works out there so I read anything that has depth and is well thought out. I tend to avoid wish fulfillment stories and isekais because they aren't soulful works.
As for my favorite story well.. I haven't picked up an actual book in ages. If I had to say then, I really enjoyed Fractal Plane.

I tend to keep to myself and I don't really use forums at all. My story Progressive @2nd is up on here if you wanna read that, I think it's pretty interesting.

Hi! I don't know if I call myself new since I joined Scribble Hub on July, but I don't think I logged in again after activated my account --- been so busy with work (still busy!).

My favorite story:
I have a lot of favorites, but the first thing that comes to mind is a series of Sailor Moon fanfics called Cardinal King by kyralih. The series is a reversed story of Sailor Moon centering on Mamoru Chiba, aka Cardinal King, and his four Heavenly Kings as they search for the Earth Prince and the Golden Crystal.

Genres you read often/tags you often look for:
At the moment: Josei or seinen stories featuring royal intrigue. Actually I'm up for anything except for harem and "edgy" stories, especially stories where the characters transmigrated/reincarnated/isekaid and cheats their way to a happy ending because they know "the plot".

Some of the stories you wrote on scribble hub:
I haven't written anything on this site yet, but here's an excerpt of the story I want to post in the future:
To become a Sacred Crystal's Chosen means to erase your existence from history as well as from the memories of those who are connected with you. The process is irreversible.

When the four Sacred Crystals departed from the world of Terra, the Chosens' duties ended. They are now free to roam beyond the walls of the Towers that once housed the Crystals. But where can we go in a world that doesn't remember us?

Skye Lunasteel was branded by the Silver Tiger Crystal three years ago. When he joined the ranks of the Chosens, he never imagined that one day he would would reintegrate into society. Chosens rarely leave their Towers and when they do, it would be to execute the Crystals' wills or to assist the Warden. After fulfilling their missions, they immediately return to their respective Crystals.

Skye could count the number of times he left the Tower in his three years as a Chosen on one hand. It was on his final mission when he met a member of his former family for the first time since he turned his back on his home and left forever.

Names/Nickname What You Want Us to Call You
I use a lot of names online, but my pen name is Snailtea. You can call me Snail or Tea for short. I also go by Ollie.

Hobbies/Interests
I really like writing, it's always been one of my favourite things to do. I'm still learning so I'm not the best at it, but I like drawing and doll customization. I like to play around with making games, usually visual novels and I really really like pixel art.

Genres You Often Read/Tags You Look For
I love fantasy, especially ones with female protagonists. Anything even remotely related to magical girls, and the most tooth rotting diabetes inducing romance.

Favourite Novel
Yogo Senki
Reason: I stan a genius child solider.

Okay, jokes aside I think it's a unique isekai, the world building is amazing, and Tanya's relationship with "Being X" kind of helped me understand my own feelings towards religion in a weird way.

Some Novels You Wrote on Scibblehub/Add Anything Else
I just joined today, and I'm a huge perfectionist, so I don't have any stories yet. But I'm working on a few and I'm excited to share them when they're ready.

I might wanna be a vtuber

My unconditional love for bunnies almost matches my love for my boyfriend

Tea is superior to coffee

Okay, that's everything I have to say. I haven't been here very long, but I like it already ^-^

Heya, you can call me Mal.
Hobbies/interests
Brainstorming and casual writing have been longtime hobbies of mine, besides gaming. Lately I've somehow been getting roped into playing buggy multiplayer survival crafting games with a friend. Maybe that's why I'm getting more into novels these days ^^
Genres you read often/tags you often look for

I usually go for lighter adventure/comedy novels that are easy to jump into or interesting psychological and school life. Gender bender may or may not be my guilty pleasure...
Your favourite novel/read

Eragon by Christopher Paolini was the first novel I read that made me dream of becoming a writer. Mother of Learning is my recent favorite web novel. For years I've had ideas that never made it past world building until I recently discovered web novels and started writing one. If I ever figure out this blurb, I'd like to post what I have and see if anyone thinks it's any good.

Oh, and Merry Christmas! 🎄

This looks like a good place to get started
Hello 👋 I'm Amneris. Just joined the site today and decided to press the forums button because why not.
I enjoy reading and writing (duh) and have an interest in ancient history and mythology. My favourite reading genres are action-thriller and fantasy. Favourite books are pretty much anything by Matthew Reilly or Andy McDermott. The genres I write are historical fiction, science fantasy, and action. I'm rather introverted but try my best to chat with people when possible or necessary.
Nice to meet everyone ☺️
Oh! And Merry Christmas to all of you celebrating it today!

Hobbies/interests
You know why you are here and I am here...
I actually am a lurker before from novelplanet(its dead so u cant diss me from adding link), started reading webnovel when 'release that witch' was around 100 ch and 'legendary mechanic' was made so I know some novels (and therefore u should praise me! :3)

Genres you read often/tags you often look for
Sandbox, Magic, Technology and Creative protagonist. And maybe some Isekai? Wa-wait no nonoooo, the demkns aer garbiing meehh-

Your favourite novel/read and WHY; please state why at least since we wanna know more about what type of reads you like and it might help people to find out if they can contribute to your reading list
Well, There was a time that I really loved an anime that I read it's light novel. Then I read some light novel that are interesting. Then some more reading. Then more. And MORE!. Then I got tired of light novel and saw a web novel. Then read more. And more until I got tired of isekai(though i still love it). Then my mind is bursting with ideas. And many many ideas. AND MANY THAT I WANT TO WRITE IT! So I will type 'some' favorites of mine...

Light novel
Death march kara hajimaru isekai kyousoukyoku (Started my passion)
Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon?
Reincarnated as a dragon's egg
Death mage who doesn't want a fourth time
Nihoujin, Dungeon ni moguru
Galactic navy officer becomes an adventurer
She professed herself the pupil of wiseman
Not Sure, but it looks like I got reincarnated to another world
Kumo desu ga, nani ka?
And many more but the list can reach the end of the world

Web novel
oh god it's too long but lemme make it short
Monster paradise
Low-dimensional game
Shepherding humanity
Invisible dragon (perfect 10/10)
Threadbare (good words)
Chrysalis
Release that witch
Legendary Mechanic
(Just realized how long my favorite list are so im ending it)

and even some of the stories you wrote on scribble hub.
I have lots of novel that i'm planning to release but not this month...(we never talk about the novel I wrote when i'm high in the skies {pun intended})

Is it too long? Well maybe that shows my love for reading...(Or maybe im lazy to summarize)

Umm..I didn't notice this thread even exists, so I'm not so new, but new enough to introduce myself, I guess?

Nickname: lilGoat is fine :blob_melt:
Hobbies/interests: I like to read and write, play some video games, specifically story rich and not ones to play with others, my fav is Lisa. I like DnD I used to DM for a while. I also paint sometimes, not humans though. I love anime, manga, I have a nice collection of comic books, my favorites are Serial Experiments Lain in anime and Preacher in comic books. I'm also a huge movie buff, I love David Cronenberg.
Fav. books: I nowadays don't have the time to read anything not related to my studies unfortunately. But, web/light novels I usually read BL exclusively.
Hardcovers I love the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and the last books I've read before starting college which I loved was the Southern Reach trilogy.
My favorite genre is horror. Especially the existential and body horror types, like lovecraft and Junji Ito. Not so much the jumpscares. If you know anything good let me know, it's been pretty barren in the horror landscape lately for me.
My story: In scribble hub it's in my signature, it's BL of course, has horror and fantasy. Been writing it because I quit smoking cigs and it helped distract my mind. :blob_cookie:
I'm actually very new to forum culture and I don't have any social media 'cause I'm not very social. But, I'm pretty nice and open minded. I usually don't give enough of a shit about you to either judge you nor care what you think of me, so feel free to approach. And I love the blobs on SH they're so cute :blobrofl:

AMissingLinguist, Linney, AML, Linguist, whatever you want.
Hobbies/interests:
Wasting time. Reading. Gaming. Reading 14 pages of introductions, and then forgetting all of it.
Genres you read often/tags you often look for:
Fantasy, Male leads, sometimes female leads, and other things. I'm really into villainess stories right now.
Your favourite novel/read and WHY:
It's been so long, but I really enjoyed The Ranger's Apprentice. It's about a young man who is taught that ranged combat and mystery are powerful things that can change the battlefield, and the protagonist goes on to become a ranger and teach his own apprentice. I think the series is 7 books long.

Writing this when I have no energy sucks. :blob_teary:

Hi, it's Spica.

Started using Scribble Hub since the start of February. I linked to here from novelupdates.

I've been writing my novel. It was a bit challenging because English isn't my native language. Without editor, I think I'm doing okay so far.

I usually play video games, read manga and novels on daily basis.

I've read The Ranger's Apprentice. It was a good book series. Riding small "horses" that are technically ponies is an awesome part of being a Ranger. The "horses" are so fast....

While I know most of the users here are migrating from Novel Update Forums but I'm pretty sure along with the ones from the other forum there will be members that are completely new so that's the purpose of this thread! To welcome the newbies.

An example of the intro would probably be good so here's mine
I'm called Ophious but people here usually call me Ophi or Phiphi for short
Well since I'm here you can probably tell I have a deep interest in reading novels, games anime and manga are also things I like, basically I'm like an average person. I do like cooking a little and gardening is starting to become a boom in my family and I might join
Current favourite has got to be my sister the villainess by cupcake ninja, there will be r18 scenes later but it'll be indicated in the chapter title and isn't necessary to read for the plot! I like it since it's quote funny
Genres I prefer are fantasy, comedy and slice of life
Not really into deep dark stuff
Name/Nickname you want us to call you: just call me "Cadmar", CL, or @CadmarLegend .

Hobbies/interests: I like reading, writing, drawing, playing games, and Machine Translating(A lot of editing....)

Genres you read often/tags you often look for:
I often read fantasy novels and mostly look for harem. I want to see someone, even if they are fictional, become something greater than me.

Your favourite novel/read and WHY; please state why at least since we wanna know more about what type of reads you like and it might help people to find out if they can contribute to your reading list
and even some of the stories you wrote on scribble hub:
My favorite novel must be Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I like it because of the action, character developement, and plot that was in it. It also led me to read the other books in the series. My favorite web novel is Mushouku Tensei. I spent a few months to read it and loved the way the harem came out.

Then add anything you like:
I have mustache.

Name/Nickname you want us to call you
Madman will do, I find it fitting as yes... I am a bit crazy but in a good way.

Hobbies/interests
Computers/tech/science

Genres you read often/tags you often look for

Science fiction, sometimes fantasy, crime and horror

Your favourite novel/read and WHY;
I honestly don't have one, the thing is my needs as a reader are basic, and I'm up for anything sans teen romance or torture porn crap.
Just give me a fun story with a good premise, and I'm in.

Then add anything you like

Sushi!!!! Oh not the kind of answer you may be looking for but hey I love sushi!

Hi! I'm lazymissy. Uhm, I like reading, sleeping and wasting my time. The genres/tags I often look for are Shounen, Shounen Ai, Yaoi, Romance, Shoujo ,Transmigration, Cooking, Entertainment Industry, Interstellar, Gaming, Love interest falls in love first and many others.

The current novel I like would be The E-sports Circle's Toxic Assembly Camp! First of all I like it because it's about ESPORTS! Second I love to read about the interactions of the GH Team with their fans and sunspots. Third because it's boy's love. Fourth because of the characters! And lastly because it is fun to read! I just love it ah!

Greetings, very new member here. (Well, not too new. I've been lurking but finally decided to make an account).

You can call me Kel or Kelcium, whichever floats your boat. I like reading web novels/mangas/webtoons/anything interesting and requires minimal brainpower. When it comes to genres/tags, I like the traditional fantasy, action, comedy, romance, xianxia/wuxia, isekai stuff. Plus some yaoi, of course. Add in a misunderstanding, showbiz, and/or transmigration/reincarnation tag and, bababooey, that's a banger.

As for my favorite novel right now... well Reborn as My Love Rival's Wife is definitely S-tier. Not sure if it's my favorite novel, but man. The character development, misunderstandings, comedy, romance, etc. everything was on point. It started strong, continued strong, and ended strong. Tasty story I must say.

Also, fun fact: Bubble tea is the superior beverage. Superior to what, you ask? Everything.

Hey guys! Nice to meet you all! I'm looking forward to post my work here. So I just joined today & I was wondering:

1. Is the majority of the work on this site fanfiction? Do many fanfiction works become popular?

If not, then roughly what % would you say are fanfiction?

2. How long does it take before someone gives new work a review & how long does it take for new work to get any likes?
Unfortunately, I noticed some works with many views (eg. 189k views) & many users have it as a favourite (7626), with many readers (1076) but the work only received 5 reviews...
