Hmm, another possible idea...more of a seedling at this point.
Don't know if it'll grow into anything but I'll put it here:

- Apocalyptic setting
- Possibly BL
- Unsure on whether there would be zombies, or whether to make it more like demons/aliens/otherworldly entities
- Possibility of all modern technology ceasing to work?
- Possibility of all skilled people dying early on? E.g. Scientists, technicians, doctors, etc...

Don't know what the end goal would be, nor who the MC/s would be.

I have this one idea about this MC who's essentially a god because he has control over a world.
It's his first world so he goes with an apocalypse type that's relatively common among world owners because they give extra points for a devastating ending and it's easy enough to manufacture.
So he finished the world and has to order the clean up crew which are known as "angels". The angels wipe everyone's memories and reset the world.
Unfortunately, the beginner's pack he bought with credit (all of the points he just earned going into it), did not come with an order of angels. Strapped for cash, he has no choice but to hire a shady band of angels instead of ordering from the big companies. The shady band takes a while, cleans the world, then leaves.
But then the MC realized that all they did was reset the world (the easiest part of their job) and nearly everyone's memories are still intact.

So basically it's the "reborn after dying to the apocalypse with all my memories and a few golden fingers" cliche except it happened to literally everyone and they think they're the only ones.

Panicked, the MC has no time to chase after the scam angels and has to personally enter the world and fix everything before the powerful gods find out and he gets stripped from his position as a world owner.
He needs to keep people from banding together too much and finding out they're all in the same situation, while simultaneously using the zombies to destroy the world again so he can get his points and hire actual angels.

The real threats are the cults people who've already figured out and gathered together. If they find out he's trying to destroy all of humanity all over again, things could go badly.

He also has to steal a body from someone who's already there so there'll be this whole segment of how he deals with the body's attachments.

The story begins with you, yes YOU, dying and reincarnating as the mother of the villainous male lead in an otome game story. You had just gotten done molesting your son when you remember your past life.

Anyway long story short the whole thing ends with you marrying your son, your ex husband marrying the heroine, and the male lead (the good one) (who is the reincarnated me) gets high and has unprotected sex with the busty Head Maid milf of the palace. I end up having to provide child support and later go on a trip to the marketplace for milk that takes 15 years
that's so disturbing...

In what way? Cuz the mom molested the son? Well fetish, bitch! That's where I get my jollies. From an Ara Ara giving a shota some of that good puff puff
Are you alright?

Just because it's a 'fetish' doesn't mean it's okay by any means necessary. The fact that it would be a fetish is all the more concerning.

No one was harmed in the making of these fictitious encounters between a mom and her son, dude.

Next you're gonna call rape play concerning. Ludacris!

Just because no one is 'harmed' doesn't mean it's not concerning that such fiction exists. Saying it's 'just words' is such an awful way to dismiss the underlying problems within such media.

It's been a while since I've dumped an outline.

The premise behind this story is to write a wholesome yet drunk protagonist that isn't cute. I don't swear at all (no foul language), so I want to see to what extent I can picture a character that is sort of my opposite in terms of crudeness.

So obviously the story starts out with the protagonist (early 30's and single) who's drunk. She tends to go to karaoke bars by herself after work and belts music into the void. She's also an amateur musician and is trying to learn to play the bass by herself, but her apartment is too small (walls too thin) for her to practice at home so she goes to these places to jam.

She passes out and ends up isekai'd with her acoustic bass.

The place that she ends up in has very few humans (mostly beast-like monsters). Stuff happens and she ends up playing on the streets to monsters for cash, and people automatically assume that she's a bard.

There is a heavy existentialist theme for this story, so basically most people in this universe are in existential crisis mainly for the reason that... idk... god died, and everyone presumes that the world is going to end because god is dead, and all morality is going to disappear because all sorts of prayers are suddenly going unanswered. The crime rate is spiking and all sorts of bad stuff (i.e. arson, breaking into stores) is happening all the time.

The protagonist sort of just chills through the story while everyone freaks out around her.

The story is mostly set in a single city, and the story is sort of framed as the protagonist some of having (drunk) conversations with various people in the city, and the point is to illustrate how just one weirdo singing songs and chatting to strangers sort of drives some kind of action to address the rising crime and sense of hopelessness in the city.

One major theme of the story is that every person is their own hero, and that we can each take action to find meaning in a world that is fundamentally meaningless.

Tldr: Keep your fucked up fetishes to the world of 2-D and you're good.

See my dude your problem is that you dont have a firm distinction between fiction and reality. People who dont mind this shit and can joke about it realize those who have those fetishes arent actually going out and doing those things. Usually. Or what, you think me or most other people who can jack off to rape or loli porn/hentai are gonna see a rape case that happened in real life and go " oh fuck that's hot"? That we'd go molest children or not be disgusted to hear someone else had?

Cuz that's the implication here, my dude. And I resent that. So. Fuck you! Prick. Haha.

Anyway people have way darker thoughts on a daily basis, and thats a fact, than just what you associate with sexual deviancy. But you aint gonna call that out, are ya?

How many dark thoughts have YOU had, even? Even casually? Like someone cuts you off in traffic and you think, " I hope that asshole gets T-boned by a Semi"

Cuz sure thats just a momentary thought. You forget about it quick. But it still counts. How fucked up are you to hope that upon someone? Yeah. Think about THAT.

At least that's what we could say if we went with your logic here.

Mine? I say theres nothing wrong with thinking things. Thinking about killing my sister for stealing that last pudding cup I had saved ain't wrong. No matter how gruesomely I imagine her fake murder by my hand.

Itd only be disturbing once I start making an alibi for myself to get away with it lol. And then execute the plan. Now THATS concerning, friend.

...I've had this kind of conversation before, believe it or not.

Not saying there isnt some sort of "concerning" problem with humanity here. Just that it's not something to hold against us. Hold what we DO against us. Not what we think. Or get our jollies off to

You can insult me all you like but that doesn't change the fact that just because it's fiction doesn't mean it's not something to be concerned about. There was a guy in Florida who wrote a how-to guide for molesting children - how to teach them to lie about it and everything. You think he shouldn't have been jailed because it's 'just fiction'? Shove off with that. That's disgusting.

nigga when tf did i insult you tho? anyway no. You shouldn't be jailed for writing something. Half of US write shit that's equally as fucked up, probably worse. So what, we should be jailed too? nah fuck off with that ridiculous nonsense bro.

I can tell you how to rape a child and lie about it, too. It ain't hard to manipulate a child. Am i gonna do that? nah. But i could. Anyone could.

What matters is whether people use that information. Not whether i give it to you or not. I'd be responsible for your actions if you choose to take what i teach you and use it. Yes. But i don't control your actions. I don't make you do anythIng.

Take some responsibility for your own choice. As for me, if i'd written something like that and someone used it against a child i wouldn't be able to deny my responsibility either. Im not responsibile when no one uses it, but i am partly to blame when someone does. My guilt would be arming you with the knowledge, however, specifically. Not that i made you use it or any such thing. Lets be clear on that. I aided, sure, but i didn't force you to go molest that child.

That topic aside, getting back to the previous point, its almost as if you're tryna blame people for things they didn't do, my guy. That ain't cool. You cant call someone a rapist just cuz their characters have raped people, or even simply say that people should be "concerned" about that author because of his writing either.

If you wanna hold them accountable for the disturbing shit they've written about sexual deviancy, fine go ahead but don't think you can stop there. No, you best damn hold accountable every author who's ever written a character who caused wanton death or destruction, too.

Otherwise you're hypocritical scum and can go fuck off.

See, HERE i insulted you. And that's just based off a hypothetical scenario in which you're being a hypocrite on a certain matter. Its not even a full insult. It's a conditional one.

Meh. But whatever we don't have to see eye to eye on the matter. Im explaining to you how i see the situation, it ain't like I'm tryna persuade you over anything

@Schwab @CupcakeNinja Do you mind if the two of you take your argument somewhere else, maybe PM? It's off topic from the thread.

I know that SHF doesn't have a tagging system for threads, but other users are using this thread to dump outlines.

See forum rules:
  1. Do not hijack/ derailed from topic from thread with 'serious' or 'no-hijacking' tag. Even without the tag, you could still differentiate which thread is serious or not. Do not hijack any serious discussion, especially if the original poster already give warning to not go off topic. Yes, this apply even in the infamous general -> general section.

I'll just stop here. TBH I don't even remember how that convo started anyway lol. So, eh, let it die!

Im still salty I'm not a mod yet, tho. I should be the one going around and laying down the law, dammit. But no. They all fear giving Cup too much power.

Random Story Outline: Cup with too much power.

Would be a dystopian future, where some MC fights against the allmighty cup. Like a mix between Big Brother and some random death games to entertain the cup.

This is a GL isekai story where the protagonist dies in the first chapter.

However, the protagonist discovers that in this isekai universe, it's possible to stay behind as a ghost as long as one as unfulfilled regrets. Given this choice to be a ghost or pass on the afterlife, the protagonist chooses to stay in this world as a ghost.

The main reason why she stays behind is because she has unrequited feelings for her friend, whom she also transmigrated with.

As a result, this story has a major theme of the friend feeling guilty and trying to find a way to solve the mystery behind protagonist's "regret" so she can pass on. However, the protagonist secretly doesn't want her "regret" resolved anytime soon, because then she'll disappear. The protagonist leads her friend around in circles by making up random small she regrets (i.e. "I always wanted to go swimming at the ocean"), while intentionally avoiding the topic of her true regret.

Meanwhile, the protagonist struggles with the fact that she isn't real anymore, and her friend is moving on with her own life. Specifically, her friend is straight and isn't into girls, and the protagonist is left sort of as a ghost floating along the side watching her friend slowly advance in her own relationships with living/real people.

The climax of the story is this ball that the friend attends with her new boyfriend. This ball is important because it's the key event of the background plot (idk... maybe the friend is dating a prince, and it's the prince's birthday when he's supposed to announce his new fiance?). The protagonist has been struggling for the past couple arcs because she wants to make precious memories with her friend, but she's increasingly more and more pre-occupied with her boyfriend. There is some kind of dramatic climax, and the protagonist runs away upset.

The friend finds the protagonists and ultimately asks the forbidden question: "Are you in love with me?"

The protagonist nods in affirmation and then starts disappearing... because her main regret was that she never confessed her feelings to her friend. The friend is upset all of a sudden because now the ghost protagonist is disappearing, and it's this dramatic death scene when the protagonist fades away with the friend completely unprepared for this fact and is now devastated by this realization that appeared at the last minute like a truck.

The end!

--------

^ On a literary aspect, I think it would be cool if the narrator never mentioned the protagonist's feelings about her friends. It would be even more awesome if it was well-concealed and not very obvious.

Specifically... avoid mentioning what the protagonist's true regret is until the very end.

Basically... take the unreliable narrator route and force the reader infer it themselves!

This is a rough outline for a BL anthology story.

So once upon a time there was a necromancer and his shikigami (familiar), who is a fish spirit (Koi). Before the beginning of this story, they went on an adventure and saved the world. In the epilogue, Koi is thrilled because his master asks to marry him, and he's been in love with him the entire time. This particular story opens during a celestial spring festival only several days from their marriage (which will be blessed by the gods) to reward the necromancer for saving the world.

However, during the festival Koi gets separated from his master and ends up wandering the celestial city. He ends up encountering an old crone (a fortuneteller) who asks if Koi would like a "love consultation". Specifically, the crone says that she has touched the fibers of many fates, and she can peer into the past, present, and future of Koi's relationship with his fiance, if he cares to pay a mere penny.

Overwhelmed by curiosity, Koi agrees to get his fortune told.

The crone asks whether he would like to hear the past, present, or future first.

Wanting to test her powers, Koi asks to hear the present, and the crone accurately recounts how Koi is deeply in love with his master.

Then Koi asks to hear the future, and the crone gives a prediction of a happy future of their time together, etc, etc.

Koi is thrilled to hear these two things, but the crone asks if he would like to hear about their past. Of course, Koi is confused (what is there to learn from the past?), but the crone asks Koi if he knows why he was created by his Master. After all, shikigami are created for a purpose, and no shikigami are purposeless existences.

Koi explains that he was created to defend his Master from demons -- to be a sword and shield. After all, once upon a time he was a mere ordinary fish in a pond given new life by a genius necromancer.

The crone smiles and asks if he ever considered whether he was created to love his Master.

After all, immortal necromancers are also lonely existences.

Wouldn't it be easy to create a doll that unconditionally loves you?

Obviously, Koi frowns upon hearing this, and asks why the crone is speaking in hypotheticals.

The crone laughs and admits that she's a quack -- and she has no true fortunetelling abilities -- just a little bit of intuition.

She stands up and begins gathering her belongings. She tells Koi that the future is in his hands, and that he is free to interpret their conversation however he wishes. However, before leaving, she asks if he thinks the necromancer is a good man.

Koi pauses, and then bows, thanking the crone for her love consultation.

He smiles because he knows his answer.

Waltheri's Demon

Every great wizard has a demon standing behind them.

7000 years ago, Waltheri the young sorcerer summoned a demon from a higher dimension, tricked her into a contract, and trapped the evil spirit as an unlimited source of incredible powers. With the wishes he asked her to grant, he became the greatest wizard of his generation, able to fulfill any of his heartfelt desires with a simple request to the chained demon in a locked room.

However, doesn't ruling the world forever ever get dull?

Eons later, the Waltheri the Great Wizard is tired. Life isn't interesting anymore, and there's nothing on Earth that amuses him. His attention turns to the demon in the locked room — a dangerous monster that could instantly destroy him if he made the slightest misstep. If he releases her chains and toys with her, would this remedy his terrible affliction of eternal boredom?

Of course, it is perilous, but what is life without a thrilling taste of mortal danger?

-----------------------

So the premise of this story is to defy expectations set up in the synopsis (above).

Prologue chapter is spent establishing this setting. Waltheri hasn't spoken to the demon for hundreds of years because every interaction with demons are dangerous (demons are known for trickery). He is a very paranoid and methodological person that doesn't expose himself to unnecessary risk. However, he's dying of boredom, so he decides to go see the demon (even though it's dangerous) because he's literally lost interest in everything.

Waltheri walks into the room and asks the Demon to fight her ("kill me").

However, the Demon surprises him because she's reading books in a giant library, ignores him, and says: "Don't wanna" (and goes back to reading).

The early chapters are therefore spent on Waltheri trying to provoke the Demon to kill him, but she's completely disinterested (and continues reading). For instance, he sets the entire place on fire, but the Demon restores it... and lots of other childish pranks (with a ridiculous element appropriate for god-like characters).

Waltheri then begins to keep a (scientific) journal about various methods he attempts to get the Demon to kill him and commences research on various experiments to get the Demon's attention. Several of the experiments involve romantically-related subjects, but they are complete duds with zero effect. As far as Waltheri can tell, the Demon only cares about reading books.

Waltheri then starts to wonder why the demon hasn't left. He's released everything that's keeping her there, but why is she staying?

He then tries to forcibly eject her from his space.

However, this makes the Demon upset. "I live here!" she says.

"But this is a pocket dimension attached to my soul that is completely isolated from the entire universe..."

"That's exactly why I like it!"

...

Waltheri realizes at this point that the Demon is a hikikomori who refuses to go outside and spends all day reading/writing books. After a little more prying, Waltheri discovers that the Demon does not wish to return to demon society, and there's some mysterious reason why she doesn't want to go back.

The wizard's attention therefore shifts to trying to dig through the Demon's backstory.

He begins summoning other demons solely for the purpose of trying to dig into his Demon's past.

This goes on for a while until the wizard stumbles across a powerful demon to discovers (extremely belatedly) that a measly human has kept the Demon captive for so long. This results in a bunch of demons grouping up and smashing into Waltheri's universe to retrieve the kidnapped Demon.

The climax of the story involves Waltheri's helpless resistance against the all-powerful demons, and he gets absolutely crushed. The world is practically destroyed. Waltheri tries to struggle until the very end because he has some kind of love(?) for his Demon and he knows that she doesn't want to go back to her world.

When the demons reach the girl, they are shocked to discover that her powers are nearly gone. She spent it (gave it away to Waltheri) over the thousands of years, which is an enormous shock because all of those demons are her suitors who wanted to marry her because of her bloodline (she's some kind of demon princess with heritable powers). She escaped from the demon universe because she didn't want to get married, and she conveniently ran into Waltheri who kept her hidden without even knowing it.

Shocked, the demons leave (there's no reason to marry her anymore), and Waltheri realizes that he has feelings for this cold-hearted demon princess who is completely uninterested in romance. That said, he is happy, and he acquiesces when the Demon says she just wants to read books forever. The story ends with Waltheri's one-sided doting and his new ambition to explore new worlds to find more stories to feed his bookworm demon.

The end!

Wow! I found a place to dump my horrible ideas that I would never write! So I don't care if yall use this 'thing'
Story goes like this...

He went away with a milk
Karly loved her family the most, second only to her love for computers. However one computer incident happened that led to their family being too poor. Along with other people worldwide, a massive virus spread and infected important files, bank accounts and things that needs computer to use. It was so bad that the virus can 'adapt' to a certain extent and even influenced jobs outside of electronics by utilizing advertisements and social engineering.

This incident occured while she was playing on her father's pc. It was just unfortunate that her father's computer was affected by the virus more so since computers are related to his job and the father is the breadwinner of the family. The situation is fine if not for the fact that most of their money is stored in a bank that is also a victim of the incident.

This led to them taking a big hit in their financial status albeit they still have money to be considered above middle-class. In the beginning it was all fine however the situation for the rock bottom people was too bad that it's starting to spread to the rich people. Prices rose and demands increased, the whole situation was that terrible that the family has to resort selling properties until their financial standing became middle-class although they are technically lower-class to which they just show a facade of being capable.

In the broken society, one of the ways to be accepted easily is to show that you're rich, considering that alot of people became poor in this period. During this time, her father was starting to distance to the family, being less frequent to be seen. This all continued until the virus was suddenly gone. Despite that, her father was never the same as before. Smile can no longer found on his face.

One day, while she was playing on her own computer, her father said that he would just buy a milk. After that, her family never found him, taking money when he left. This left her family in a bad state but she didn't mind the money, what she was more concerned was her father. She was just 8 yrs old when her father left the house but she didn't gave up on finding him no matter how long it took. After this string of incidents she vowed to never touch a computer again.

-------------------------

10 years later and a secretive man is finding someone and his findings led to the house of Karly. He saw her family but didn't make a move but just watch.

Karly is 18 yrs old now. Known in the school as the 'classic beauty', everytime you look at what she is holding you will find an old book instead of smartphone. She wore old-fashioned clothes and her fashion allowed to cover her that she is not poor to the eyes of others.

The story moves when a friend of hers needed help and she must use a computer to do it. Reluctantly she did so finding out in the process the she has a talent for it. The friend insist, things lead one thing and another she found herself in a online hacking group. The group said they want to do offline meeting. Together with the friend that insisted her, she went to it. Just before she reaches the venue she notices a familiar silhouette and saw a handsome guy that is young but older than her, just walking.

During the party, nothing was wrong in the talks but as time passes their questions seems to be more apprehensive and seems to be something about the old virus. Not knowing this things, she didn't answer those questions and started to left as she felt uncomfortable. As she is leaving she is forcibly stopped by the members including her friend, she also noticed that she is being sluggish. Realizing the possible danger she dashed away, just as she was escaping she noticed that the members are armed with a silenced gun. She managed to escape the chase due to the handsome guy earlier. It was obvious that if someone is in the same situation they would just follow what the overly cool and handsome with broad shoulders and lean muscles plus a angled cool faced bishounen would say

(System warning: player @High-in-the-skys received the debuff, Sleepiness)
(Prepare for nonsense)

So u see this male lead followed Karly long before, he told her that the members r aiming to capture her. Boy told her she might be related to the old virus so she stop questioning. They research and found out Karly has the blood of the geniuses, oh wow! She suspects that her father mighy have created the viruse. Does actions and has flashbacks prior to virus, turns out she mighy have completed the virus from her dads computer. Also finds out thay the reason father was gone is that he is cleaning up her mess.

During this time, she developed feelings for our stalker boy. Climax action happens when the people who want the virus and enraged by it appears. The henchmen got the upperhand but the handsome guy decides to sacrifice. During this time he reveal something.

He is her father all this time!

Then he forces her to just hide away and wait for things to cool down. And she did just that. The father took all attention from her so she became able to live normally. The last thing that signalled his existence is the news of virus perpetrator getting caught which is technically wrong since she accidentally created it so she cried. Time later she found out the prison where he is at. They're family meets at a great reunion when they visited him and they become happy

The end
(I actually made this idea from 'dad bought milk and left')
