I would probably say "Hi I'm *insert name here,* you are? *Wait for response*

"Well *insert other person's name here* I'm glad to meet you."

It seems odd but I prioritize saying my name and using the other person's name. It serves the purpose of humanizing each other as equals. I also repeat their name quite often in the first few conversations where it sounds natural. I forget names very easily unless I do this. It helps seal the name in my head.

If they respond I will usually follow up with a nod, because it helps show you are interested in how they are feeling they are that day.

Then I lead with, "What kind of music do you like?"

And just hope it evolves into a nice conversation.
