Fantasy, historical fiction, urban fantasy, high fantasy, classic science fiction, mystery, thriller, and when I'm in a really good mood I really enjoy wholesome romance/slice of life.

I mostly like ones that are clear and go out of the way to be easy to follow. That being said, I like plots where people solve things creatively. I like characters where it is clear what they can and can't do.

Historical fiction, urban fantasy, that one niche where everyone just knows everything and it becomes a convulted mess, wholesome animals on adventure.

I grew up on science fiction, and I still get a rush of nostalgia when I think about it. Today, give me polyandry.

Sci-Fi, Shooter/Milsim, High Fantasy, GOOD GAMELIT, romance/romcoms, porn that's actually got good plot, and the occasional mystery to stir the brain rot.

Ah, I also like completed stories. Ones without new chapters/books to wait on. Being able to binge and actually finish something is incredible. Not a fan of having to wait month to month for a book/manga chapter. I put up with weekly anime because there's enough of it to keep the skull monkeys from having seizures.

I love reincarnation, isekai, supernatural, fantasy...Hmm, I like many things xD But if it has time loops I will probably read cause yes! However, I like stories in which I get to know the inner world of the characters and how their perspective gradually expands throughout the novel.

I'm a big fan of psychological horror, thrillers and even wholesome plots. I also have a weakness for BL with plot beyond romance. I'd actually like to read something like an isekai/reincarnation story with an enticing plot and a BL sub plot. I've read too many stories about girls reincarnating into villainesses that I just really want something a little different.

As long as the summary sounds good and its well written, I'll probably give it a try

I like fantasy novels as a whole and crossover fanfics that are written as follows:
Crossover fanfics where characters from two different works are written in a way so that characters from both worlds are all born and grow up in the world where the story takes place.

What kind of novels do you like most?
I like a lot of types of novels, so it is probably faster to say what I do not like. I tend to dislike melodramatic stories, stories that advocate, endorse, and/or turn a blind eye to serious violence (be that slavery, rape, sexual or regular assault, murder, etc.), and, to a lesser extent, I find it hard to get into science fiction, harems, and fan-fics.

If you must ask for my favorite type though it would probably have to be cosmic &/or gothic horror and things similar to it. For example, I find it hard to get into Stephen King but I like Ito and Poe. This probably comes from me binge listening to creepy pastas and Lovecraft’s works while playing Age of Empires and Clash of Clans/Royale when I was young. As well as the fact my mom liked to write horror stories and my dad would play horror audiobooks on long car rides when I was young.

I also like fantasy, but I have been bored with the adventure and action genera for quite a while now, mostly because they are too formulaic imo.

Big diet of mystery and thriller books, spiced with other genres like fantasy, horror, classics, nonfiction, short story collections, poetry, etc.

Anything with weak to strong premises as i find op character plots lacking of suspense and drama, leading to zero character growth

i like novels with premises i find interesting and executes them well with consistency.

as for stuff i like in particular, i guess strong mob protagonist who just did their own thing. creative application of cheats / systems, and also absurd comedies.

power fantasies were also fine if their progression feels consistent and earned. i usually dropped the story when the author forcibly nerfed the mc instead of going along with it.
